LimeWire "Sparky" alpha available
 

A prototype version of LimeWire with query routing support, aka "Sparky", is available for download now at
http://www.limewire.com/index.jsp/sparky

This code is in the alpha stage and is only intended for "power users" with lots of patience. It has lots of limitations, which are listed in the above web page. To prevent any damage to the gnet, this code self-destructs in a month.

Our custom bootstrap server (sparky.limewire.com) will help cluster Sparky's together so we can gather statistics. If that doesn't work, try connecting to my machine, 216.27.158.74:6346. You can see query route table sizes by looking at the "words" field of the connections tab. Sparky will also try to establish a few "old" connections; you can turn that off if you only want to see routed traffic. Please leave your Sparky running for long periods of time if possible.

You can look at Sparky's source code in the com.limegroup.gnutella.routing package of the the query-routing3-branch of the core project on LimeWire's open source site (www.limewire.org). Compiling the code is a little tricky, as you have to run ant twice because of core-gui dependencies.
