Problem with Limewire

Everytime I download a selection thru limewire I get a glitch in the music somewhere. It may only be a short stutter but it shows up somewhere in the song when played. Can anyone tell me what I can do to prevent this?

Yes, disable LW's media player so you only use your default audio player instead. LW's media player suffers if LW is very busy. It gets low priority for cpu attention. To disable LW's media player, go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Player & uncheck the option & press apply. This won't take effect however until next time you re-launch LW. So next time you launch/preview, then your default audio program will open & play it instead.

Here's some other alternative decent players: 1. dBpowerAMP, - 2. WinAmp, - 3. Quintessential (QCD), - 4. iTunes

Please confirm it is a resource problem (skipping when the system is under heavy load at different parts of the song) and not a bad copy (errors, skipping, etc. in the exact same part of the song every time).
