how do you do it?

AFAIK, this option has not been possible in the previous few LW versions. ;)
See How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) {click on link}. If you are using LW 5, you can set LW to transfer songs automatically to iTunes. :)

I go into my library and right click on a song. It takes me to their file on my system where it's easy to drop and drag from.

Don't think it is possible if you like to drag download older versions...

I have itunes 8 and it works for me.
