Limewire icons/alias pictures?

Ok, a while back I bought Limewire Pro and the alias picture in my dock to start it had a nice slice of Lime which was cool. The next update I installed changed the picture to a coffee cup with a rocket coming out of it which was ok but not as nice and now I just recently updated to 2.4.2 and the picture changed once again but this time to the old low quality Limewire icon of the of the green plug! So what's the deal?! Why does the pics keep changing and why do they keep getting worse?? I would like to have my little slice of Lime back if possible. Please help!

I just installed 2.4.3 and the same thing happened. The 'plug' icon is so ugly that I removed it from my dock. Limewire, please fix this.

I FIXED THE ICON!

Well, I actually made the solution.

I made a screenshot of the lime slice on this forum and used GraphicConverter to fix it up and make it transparent. I made it a TIFF file.

I tried to change the program icon by using copy and paste with "Get Info." But if didn't work. I guess LimeWire put a block on that.

But I hacked into the program.

Follow this steps:

Download the icon here. Just Control-Click:

http://home.earthlink.net/~jnrz0/LaunchAnywhere.icns

Then open your LimeWire folder, Control-Click the Limewire program.

Select "Show Package Content"

Open "Contents" folder, then "Resources" folder

Drag the file you just downloading into this folder.

It will say that you already have a file named this and if you wish to replace it. Say yes.

Now, log out of OS X and log back in. You should now have the icon.

Geez. All this for a freakin' icon!!?? Thanx LimeWire for all the work!

Didn't work for me.

Thanks for the hack. This was bothering me, too. That plug...
But, the work around didn't work for me. I only get the default icon in the dock in place of the plug. Are you sure the icon goes into the resources folder, or is it supposed to go into one of the folders inside it, like the java folder?

I just realized something.

I was going to tell you to just drag the yucky plug out of your dock, then drag the new LimeWire icon in the dock......

But the lime slice isn't transparent like it was supposed to be and there is a white box around it. Pretty ugly for the Dock, but it looks nice in the folder. Sorry.

HEY LIMEWIRE, PLEASE MAKE THE LIME SLICE ICON AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD PLEASE, OK?

I've found an easier way. Basically, you have to change the access preferences in the info window of the application (limewire).

Then you can use the normal method of copying the image and pasting it on the icon on the very top.

I have better instructions at my blog, with pictures, so please check it out!
