Hey there I need help please.

I´ve been using Limewire for about 3 years,
so I´d like to start out by Thanking You Guys
for the creation of this Awesome Program.

So far I´ve never ever had any problems,
But now,since this last update (4.14.8 Pro - paid for OFC )
I´m having issues for the 1st time.

I´m on a PwrBook 1.67 w/ OSX 10.4.10
2 gig ram, 100 gb hd saving onto a firewire 1 tera disk
(probably isnt relevant but u ask for it so hey)

I can open, I get Turbocharged connection, I can Search
but when i choose the files All I get is " ( x nr. of hosts tried ),
with a final "Need more Sources"
And no this isnt with a few attempts , this is with over 50 attempts.

Yes i´ve delete the preference files, more than once.

Never had this issue.

As i said alls i get it Need more Sources, but on Everything.

What now ?

It's a download issue. What you are finding are fake files. It has nothing to do with the LW version or your settings.

1. (a) Beware of Fake files in search results; (b) Recognising fake files

2. How to find music which can also apply to video files.

For video files, see if they are listed at Bitzi site to be sure they are genuine files.

ok,I did already check that post ^^

but really and honestly Its EVERYTHING

I mean i even search a song , choose them ALL (50+)
and get that same result.

I have now tried over 20 different titles and tried downloading Every 4 star
search i get , and i get the same for ALL of them.

what could it then be?

choosing all the results might be causing some problems also...your settings may not allow being connected to that many users at one time, and the delay of processing all the data in queue, as it were, may result that by the time a file is 'allowed' to connect its already too late..

try doing a video search for 'Loose Change' and see if you can get connected to that...or better yet try downloading an image of brittany spears...

And did you right-click/control-click & choose bitzi lookup to see if the video file was listed (if it was video)?

ok look, I´ve been downloading for 3 years ,
never had issues.

EVERY File i look up with Bitzi recons it has no info bout it.

All I know is this : I´ve used this software succesfully for years
Then this update comes out and now NO FILES and I mean NONE I Try
come up as downloadable.

Now please dont tell me that "the files then dont exist" cuz in the past "somehow magically i guess" existed and downloaded successfully.

I mean i´ve tried LOADS of searches and Every download in the search has been clicked... ALL come up as "Need more Sources" ALL of them.

This has never happened, so please explain what I can do to make it all work as it once marvelously (if thats even a word :P ) did.

We miss what once was and cant figure out how to have it Be again.

Look, as you know and i repeat I´ve been using LW
for years... daily.

I used tobe able to download stuff,
I´ve tried all the advice you´ve told me,
Yes I can download the few files you´ve advised me,

...But... This is MY fact ...LW just isnt what it used tobe... for me ( i cannot speak for others)

Out of 50 attempted downloads of video in the past,
I used to get about 15-20 good files a week.
Actually very good quality files even.
This was VERY satisfactory and I Praised LW to all i knew,
However ... Now.. trying for 3 days ... I´ve gotten 1 (one)
good video file.

Why isnt it functioning for me as it used to ?

I´m mean call me nooby or whateveryou want, BUT
I CAN notice a change and unfortunatly its not an
improvement.

Why is this ?
What can I do to have back what I used to ?

Help me write another positive post about l.w. in my mag.
