Can I connect to gnutella if I am using the Starband satellite connection?

problems

I'm on Starband too and I'm unable to connect using limewire at all. However, a third party site claims to have a morpheus client that will work on Starband. I haven't gotten it yet because they want a membership fee, however, if they have a client that will work, wouldn't that indicate gnutella isn't being blocked? and then wouldn't limewire work?
help!

I don't know if it will work, but try downloading a gnutella.net file here:

Copy it into your LimeWire directory and tell me, if you can connect, for if you can, Starband only blocked the host caches...

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the LimeWire directory? And when I download the file, I get only a series of numbers. How can I do something useful with it? Please bear with me.

The numbers are ip addresses of LimeWire Ultrapeers. LimeWire uses this file to store known hosts.

I don't know where you installed LimeWire. My LimeWire directory is /home/greg/LimeWire for example. On windows systems, it should be something like c:\program files\LimeWire.
