Morpheus 4.1.0 Build 250

Get better search results, downloads and overall performance by updating to the latest version of Morpheus, you can do so by visiting one of these links:

lol what a POS... They only ever update some icons those idiots :D They even don't have updated the GnucDNA core with protocol changes available for nearly two months. (M. Weiss get a clue, you can update the DNA here http://gnucleus.com/GnucDNA/ , you are badly hurting the Gnet with such old "stolen" technologies)

Beside Vampmon, where are the big changes you told us in an other thread? http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=26136

Ah ok that was some little animated icons :rolleyes:

So everybody get bearshare lite and LW and leave Morph dead.

Merci à tous:o

ok, well you don't just need to see changes on the interface for there to be a change, on each new release bugs get fixed, some reported by users, some found by the team, Something is being worked on right now that lots of people in the P2P world will be happy with, im not going to say to much right now, only because it will start a hype, and if anything gets changed before the release date of it, it will miss-lead users into believing different.

Instead of bitching all the time about the "Problems" why dont you post changes you would like to see, bugs you may have found and other stuff, maybe it might be taken into account.
Give it some time, the days are only early, Morpheus v4 was only a mear change with the multi-network support and so on, interesting things follow in the future.

Ya I'm bitching easily at Morpheus (believe me this bitching is well deserved @ streamcast), but you seem really new to the P2P scene. P2P apps that are interesting are the ones who bring something different on their own by their philosophy or their implementations. Morpheus never brang something new and always leeched from others technology (and since two years, from others clients bandwidth). I can't see anything positive looking in Morpheus' direction, sorry. Well, there is ONE thing that interess me in Morpheus, it's NEOnet. Right now Morpheus hides the results by NEOnet under the category Gnutella, so this makes me think NEOnet is pure bullsh*t as the other things in Morpheus, but I don't know for sure. If NEOnet is that good, make Morph NEOnet only, if it is good it'll get my approval as well as many P2P users and Morph might reclaim it's crown.

You get crops once you seeded, and Morph is looking like Somalia :cool:

Bonne journée

NEOnet are the results representing the Morpheus logo, along with Gnutella and G2, this is because NEOnet is still in BETA state.

As I have said multiple times, something is being developed that the majority of the P2P world will be interested in, just wait... :)

Don't talk rubbish Peer... and just so everyone knows, Build 251 has been released, update at www.morpheus.com

trap_jaw4 August 5th, 2004 10:11 AM

Good to know, Streamcast is still working on NeoNet. I vote for kicking Morpheus off the Gnutella network if they don't open the specs.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH trap-jaw4 ON THIS....RELEASE THE SPECS, OR BE FORCED TO MAKE UP YOUR OWN POND (OF FILTH) TO SWIM IN...
+1

-A (working?) DHT system like NEOnet would be a definite + in gnutella for finding more sources by hash.

-I've already banned Morpheus from my compiled version of LW.

Here is how, however only for advanced users. (once you got the modules lib, core and gui from limewire.org with wincvs).

To block uploads:

go in the core folder and open the .java file in a text editor (here are the directories): core/com/limegroup/gnutella/uploader/httpuploader.java
add after the line:
(str.indexOf("Morpheus") != -1) ||
add the following:
(str.indexOf("morp") != -1) ||
save and proceed to the next step below (or you can compile right away if you are running as a leaf on gnutella).

To block leaves and UP connections as an UP:

(when you are running as an UP, this make Morpheus a harder time to connect and leech from other Limewire since they can't search us)
go in the core folder and open the .java file in a text editor (here are the directories): core/com/limegroup/gnutella/connectionmanager.java
add after the line:
if(userAgent.startsWith("Morpheus")) return false;
add the following:
(str.indexOf("morp") != -1) ||
There are two instances of if(userAgent.startsWith("Morpheus")) return false; one for UP and one for leaves so you have to past the line twice.
save and compile the core module.

Hope this was helpful to at least someone, or at least that it ****** off Morph users. I know they want my files, but they can't!

Ciao ;)

Spoiled With Quality !!!

Vampmon does not seem to grasp that Vampmon is here receiving the benefits of the knowledge and integrity of some of the wisest and most experienced members of these forums...

Perhaps Vampmon might wish to consider going into receive mode for a while and save the power supply drain needed for full key-down continuous transmit mode ?

Amazing what can be learned by simply listening... Hmmm ?

Subtle enough, Peerless ?

I suspect he is a paid employee of StreamCast, which means....it's rather obvious isn't it?...
That's what I've been thinking since he registered :eek:
(Hint: he is also Matrix2003 in other forums as slyck and zeropaid, he does tech support for Morpheus on IRC and I suspect him to be related with Kayaman a Xolox dev that has gone to Morpheus)

I've been keeping repeating myself (I hate that) in his new releases threads, thinking that normal Morpheus users reading these would switch to another app. What Vampmon says here does not matter anymore, but getting knowlegde spreaded about this evil app is important IMO.

Ciao :)
