Can't get a single download or upload! help!

I am running mandrake 8.2, and installed napshare 1.0. The install went fine and I entered in a list of files ro be downloaded and left it runnig for 3 hours. I set the downloading to a temp dir, and the downloaded to my mp3 dir. I also set the path to the MP3's I already have to share. Napshare found a lot of files and put them in the download section, but they never started downloading and eventually timed out. Same for upload. i'm not behind a firewall and connect using a cable modem from comcast. Any suggestions? I also wondered what to set connection speed to. 56k(default) seems like a dial up. I average 100 - 300k bytes per second. So is this field in bytes or bits? Thanks for the help.

Switch to gtk-gnutella instead!

You'd be better dumping napshare and switching to gtk-gnutella, which is far more advanced.

Just look on sourceforge, gtk-gnutella is actively maintained, napshare looks dead.

Plus it's a blatant code stealing from gtk-gnutella (at least it seems so browsing CVS code).
