I THINK many people are downloading movies and music. Pocket PCs do not have much memory so, there is no point of downloading huge sized files. So, I think there is no point making or using LimeWire for PPC.

i also have a memory card slot and i have a 2gb card and nearly all new ppc's have sd card slots so limewire would be a great idea!
Also which would be even better if you could use the gprs internet on limewire so you could download music/videos on the go!
I would love to see this happen, please take it into consideration

Me i think bad idea for ppc
Four one you would have to download java programs to it and that takes about 140Mb of space so there go's 140mb that you do need and Lime wire pro takes about 18Mb's so and than add all of the problems that's going to happen with your ppc and than you will get mad later because you whant it on your ppc.and the reason you might get mad is you might download a virus or worm buy luck and then what are you going to do then.Hmmm think a little better.because if you download a virus or worm there is probley no way to get it off.See even if you run a virus scaner from your pc to your ppc.

seee

xcom46, your english is weird?

you just stated " even if you run a virus scanner from your pc to your ppc" then ended the sentence/

i don't understand what your saying, if you can scan your ppc why would you worry bout viruses? and whats the chance of a virus? not to mention just being on the computer right now anyone could hack your computer or what not so you can't exactly be worried 24/7.

plus i'm sure pdas must have security messures, if not why would you have a wi-fi option?

personally i think it is an excellent idea and how are we going to know how good it is untill we have tried it? it might work fine with no problems or may be the other way round but you never know unless you try. Please limewire crew make limewire for pocket pc!

Default SONY VAIO ***-UX280P Micro Notebook

I was wrong apparently whilst searching on ebay i found this

SONY VAIO ***-UX280P Micro Notebook

some super micro notebook, like a pda but the power is awesome (i thinK)

what i DO know is, is that it runs like a typical pc OR notebook/laptop if you will

and it has a massive hdd (for a small notebook that is) with wifi

so no more thinking about "limewire to pda/pocket pc"

well........not if you can afford this.

some guy in U.S is selling it for 1500 AUD

so keep you fingers crossed for a limewire or emule or whatever to PDA's but since when do the people at the top ever listen to the little people

Default getting better

true, years go by it will become better technology, cost more though, and how long would you need to wait for it?

plus the problem here is pdas run their own software thats the problem we're having with limewire 2 pda's are all about.

so if you wanna ruin someones quota at a coffee-shop hotspot and download anything you want this product seems the best. Just a lil too steep for me for now.

But i may get it later......seems good its an actual notebook so runs windowz xp.......plus 1500 isn't too bad.......according to google they retail over $2000

Default pocket pc

i thought we were talking 'bout p2p on portable systems?, how likely will it be on lets say.......created for a mobile/cellular phones?

also pdas run there own software. as for emule THEY have their own one they created as a side project for portable devices but i hear its running really shotty.

I picture p2p software companies as dodgey, and wouldn't spend much on something on a side-project...especially since if normal limewire does the trick, why would i pay for pro? also irony is, you can d/l limewire pro from the old limewire. (not that im saying its an exceptable behaviour).

p2p has been out since the days FBI hated kazza......still no special version of limewire? why? cause it won't happen.....at least not soon.

better give up on the idea or save up for a better device that ACTUALLY runs typical pc software.
