| i am using lime wire from abt 2 yrs now n it was very good but now since i have downloaded the new version downloading speed is very low nd i have not scene the ethernet since den.. can sum budy solve this prob of mine .. thanx |

| To get the BEST speed from your DL's, First make sure that you are set to BROADBAND in the Tools area,and change the Search criteria to only 3 and 4 star rated and only T1 and T3 connections...this will make Limewire fly for the most part(unless people are untruthful about their connection speed(who would do such a thing?)), Also adjust how many Downloads you are concurrently running,I find that 2 to 5 is usually the best for me,2 when all have 10(8 on Basic) hosts and 5 when all are between 1 and 9. Also,if you have PRO it Adds more Ultrapeers to make things faster. |

| Another factor limiting download speeds, is how many people actually are sharing too. Lime is set by default to 20 slots with 3 per IP address so a peer can be saturated fast. I changed the default to 4 slots, 1 per IP and now leeches can get much better speed while other can wait their turn. Sounds like a classic case of impatience too. |
