Does Limewire seriously not play M4a files? Why not?

I dont know if this is a problem for everyone or what, but i cant get any m4a's to play on Limewire, always have to go through realplayer which can be really anoying. And when playing lists of songs it just simply skips over them and plays only mp3's WTF?

Apparently LW 5 presently does not play m4a files by itself. But ...

In the 5.6 release, the media player is changing so it should support all files that play natively. So if the file plays within Windows Media Player for example, it should now play within LW. This also means that the user can install new codecs themselves for the native media player and those file types should then also be playable within LW

be default, I believe m4a files should now play on OSX and Windows 7. XP and possibly Vista users would have to install a m4a codec themselves to have them play within LW.
