my Mac OS X froze while using phex
 

My Mac has never hung before. l was advised to update Java because phex runs on Java. I looked into it, but found out that my Java is the latest version, so it seems that this is a possibility using phex.

Once was enough. Since the machine was totally unresponsive, l finally disconnected from the Internet, and THEN regained control after restarting. Whew!

There are till now two instances of this happening, one in MacOSX, one in Windows. We sadly couldn't yet find the cause, since it wasn't reproducable on other machines (especially not on ours).

It might be partially related to upgrades in your system.

For reasons l can't go into, l physically can't post all the details Birdy asks for + she does not allow PM, so l'm using poisoned with good results. l'm on a Mac iBook G4 Power PC until l get a MacBook in 3 mos.,running OSX, CABLE + Motorola modem, 1.5 RAM, and l physically can't continue, but- thank you a lot
