How to reset password in Microsoft?

Have received a code from Microsoft to reset my password, and now they ask me to go to the "Reset Your Password Page", but where can I find this page?

I have been on several Microsoft Support sites, but cannot find a solution to
my problem.

Thank you for helping, as you have always come to my rescue.

Firstly your email account is full again & forum notifications are not reaching you. Secondly did you see my reply to your previous issue here? http://www.gnutellaforums.com/open-d...tml#post378161

If you're using a Microsoft account, you can reset your password online.

Sorry I don't know much about M$ accounts, I gave up on using one because I found it a PITA.

Otherwise (googled answer):

Windows - How to Change your Computer Login Password - Pharmacy IT

To Change / Set a Password

1. Click the Start button at the bottom left of your screen.
2. Click Settings from the list to the left.
3. Select Accounts.
4. Select Sign-in options from the menu.
5. Click on Change under Change your account password.

OR

Step 1: Open Start Menu. Go to the desktop of your computer and click on the Start menu button.
Step 2: Select Control Panel. Open the Control Panel.
Step 3: User Accounts.
Step 4: Change Windows Password.
Step 5: Change Password.
Step 6: Enter Password.

Microsoft/MS Windows periodically ask you to change your password. I recall with Windows 8 I didn't change it. I used a small trick but not sure I should specify the details here.

Windows 10

Sorry for belated reply, and renewed thanks for your abiding help and patience
with an old-age pensioner.
I turn 80 next June, i.e. if I survive heart and cancer operations.

I have given up on automatic opening of Windows 10 as somewhere (I forget where, my memory playing tricks with me!) I was told that this impossible with Windows 10. Anyway, I am getting used to entering my PIN number to access Windows.

Have decided to forget about changing my password, but have kept a copy of your tips for reference, in case of need.

Kind regards.

Joe

Automatic opening of Windows 10 works for me. But as suggested, it might depend on type of Windows 10, perhaps it does not work with a laptop version or a Microsoft account.

Best wishes with the operation and hopes all goes well.
