Illegal Porn

Hi there,

I was just doing a search for porn on the LimeWire and am deeply disturbed about the amount of Kiddie, Lolita and Child porn that comes up on the display in the search results. Is there anything that can be done about it?

The IP addresses of the offenders are available. Isn't there a way this can be chased up with variou police forces?

Knowing that this stuff is out there is ruining my otherwise fun search for adult entertainment.

Cheers,

Sean (unregistered)

You can report these IP's to the authorities, but first you have to make sure that the name is really what it states it is. Almost all of those sorts of files have very misinforming titles. But by makeing sure that they are what they say they are you also are violateing the law... However you can block certain key words in LW settings. To filter out the key words that depict illegal content run LW, and go to tools>options>filters>keywords and just add the words you want filtered out. Good luck.

Thanks for the info on filtering but that is not at all a viable option in the real world (hiding my eyes from the crime doesn't make the crime go away)...

Of course the people committing the abuse are more dangerous criminals than those that share files but tackling the sharing of files might help trace the problem to it's source?

I think what is perhaps more important is for the file-sharing community to come up with some kind of plan or stratey to tackle the problems of shared kiddie porn and child abuse. If there was a registry of IP addresses that could be verified to contain the porn, that might be a start.

Yes, people make mistakes with what they accidentally download, but if resources and time are put into stamping out the problem then that has to be a good thing...

cheers,

sean

You see, the problem with creating a regrestry of the IP's is that their IP's change every time they log on to the internet. But like Peerless said, a lot of files are misnamed. There's not much more you can do about them appart from reporting the sharer's of these files, and just simply ignoreing them all together. Good luck.

I noticed that a lot of the files were in fact not teens or children but i have found this one file called 9yo littlegirl displays her *bleep* i saw the first 4 seconds of it and i have deleted it from my pc because it seemed to really be just children anyway it would be appreciated if someone would find out if it is so as to get rid of it and have whoever has it arrested? I think it's sick and distatefull and it should be removed by the owners of the site. Thank You. (May i add illegal?)

uhuh sureeee

Well actually i would like to point out that the government in my country will be passing a law that will not only force servers and providers to make sure it doesnt get in or they will also be found responsible and will be imported for this. And i dont't need a girl friend i have a boyfriend(i'm a girl) and he's expensive enough thanks.

question

hello everybody,

could you please let me know if it's illegal to share private porn pics (pics I've taken with my girlfriend)? I've been sharing my porn pics through Limewire for a while now under the name edited...no private info..read the rulez (plus requested photoshoots for various people I meet through Limewire, for free of course) but after I read this thread I started getting anxious. Could you please let me know...

Just to let you know I'm completely against kiddie porn, my g/f is 25 years old and I only do it because of the hype it gives me and my online mates.

thanks

Whatever dude. I guess as long as you both are of age it's legal. You should probably find out the legalities of shareing your files before you do it, shoulden't you?
