Yeah.
"Recieved incoming this session" is still false: there's something else blocking LW there. Routers, other firewalls (it's not your ISP from what you said earlier)....
Maybe you need to try another port...

whymewhynow April 14th, 2005 07:28 PM

how do I do that? just randomly pick a port?? how many ports do I have? LOL can you tell I am l clueless??

Lord of the Rings April 14th, 2005 07:35 PM

Lists of ports you can use can be found here: A Guide To Alternative Port Selection
Port 6346 is what LW normally uses. To change listening port go to LW's menu Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewalls

Any idea why it's doing this??

Okay I read your article above...

Did some changes but I am not sure if I have set it perfectly because the Download speed seems about the same so I'll give you the details

I have DSL 512/256 (up/down) respectively as many people do.

Before I use to download files at about 30Kbps max
The upload slider I have was set to 27-35Kbps
The maximum is about 50kbps on Download and upload If i am going wrong somewhere please notify me.

I'll leave your questions for Murasame to answer since Murasame is the specialist in this area. But I think you're getting confused with the definitions.

8 kbps = 1 KB/s

If you were getting 30 KB/s then that's equivalent to 240 kbps. Which is not unusual b/c there's always overhead loss. Yeah about 50 KB/s would be about your maximum possible I'd suggest - perhaps just over.

pato:
1024kbps=128KBps
128kpbs=16KBps (I really don't see how you couldn't do the conversion: I've provided a link to a page where it does it for you  )

Sabatica: how many simultaneous downloads have you set?

pato2pato April 18th, 2005 04:50 AM

yeh it works ok for the upload speed when i use the slider, but the download speed only goes to 42.44KB/s u said in ur post i need to have it up to 128kb/s.

im using version 4.8.1

thanks for your help and hope you can provide more.

pato.

You don't really need to do it for the dld bandwidth, but if you wanna do it anyway, you have to change your speed settings: go to the Options and click Speed, then set the thing to T1 and click Apply. The slider should go to higher values now (if it doesn't, exit the Options then go there again)
