These volunteers keep the board organized and moving. Moderators are authorized to: (in order of increasing severity) Move posts to the correct forums. Many times, members post in the wrong forum. These off-topic posts may impede the normal operation of the forum. Edit posts. Moderators will edit posts that are offensive or break any of the House Rules. Delete posts. Posts that cannot be edited to comply with the House Rules will be deleted. Restrict members. This is one of the last punishments before a member is banned. Restrictions may include placing all new posts in a moderation queue or temporarily banning the offender. Ban members. The most severe punishment. Three or more moderators or administrators must agree to the ban for this action to occur. Banning is reserved for very severe offenses and members who, after many warnings, fail to comply with the House Rules. Banning is permanent. Bans cannot be removed by the moderators and probably won't be removed by the administration. The Rules 1. Warez, copyright violation, or any other illegal activity may NOT be linked or expressed in any form. Topics discussing techniques for violating these laws and messages containing locations of web sites or other servers hosting illegal content will be silently removed. Multiple offenses will result in consequences. 2. Spamming and excessive advertising will not be tolerated. 3. There will be no excessive use of profanity in any forum. 4. There will be no racial, ethnic, or gender based insults, or any other personal attacks. 5. Pictures may be attached to posts and signatures if they are not sexually explicit or offensive. 6. Remember to post in the correct forum. Take your time to look at other threads and see where your post will go. If your post is placed in the wrong forum it will be moved by a moderator. 7. If you see a post in the wrong forum or in violation of the House Rules, please contact a moderator via Private Message or the "Report this post to a moderator" link at the bottom of every post. Please do not respond directly to the member - a moderator will do what is required. 8. Any impersonation of a forum member in any mode of communication is strictly prohibited and will result in banning. 9. Multiple copies of the same post will not be tolerated. Post your question, comment, or complaint only once. There is no need to express yourself more than once. Duplicate posts will be deleted with little or no warning. 10. Posts should have descriptive subjects. Vague titles such as "Help!", "Why?", and the like may not get enough attention to the contents. 11. Do not divulge anyone's personal information in the forum, not even your own. This includes e-mail addresses, IP addresses, age, house address, and any other distinguishing information. Don´t use eMail addresses in your nick. 12. Signatures may be used as long as they are not offensive or sexually explicit. 13. Failure to show that you have read the forum rules may result in forum rules breach infraction points or warnings awarded against you which may later total up to an automatic temporary or permanent ban. Supplying system details is a prerequisite in most cases, particularly with connection or installation issues. Violation of any of these rules will bring consequences, determined on a case-by-case basis. Thank You! Thanks for taking the time to read these forum guidelines. We hope your visit is helpful and mutually beneficial to the entire community. |

| I don't have a problem downloading but it seems everyone who tries to upload a file from me it ALWAYS get interrupted before completed... would this be a problem with my sytem settings or just a conincidence? |
| |||
| I know how to find the interrupted transfer but it seems that no one is able to upload a complete file from me - they all get interrupted - is there a setting I should change somewhere? I have cable internet so it isn't that my connection gets interrupted... |
| ||||
| You could try limiting your upload slots according to your speed as Grandpa suggests here Problem With Uploading - "Transfer Interrupted" It's possible that it's ISP related, some people have had trouble with their ISP disrupting uploads. Within LW tools > options > bug reports > view example. Scroll down to 'recieved incoming this session'... is it true or false? False indicates a problem with people being able to upload (usually a firewall).

| I followed all the steps and configured everything perfect, and it was working fine all day. Until now...when all of a sudden it started doing the drop to 0 and slowing everything down big time. I've restored the default options and reconfigured it twice now, and it's still doing the same thing. If this many people are having a problem it has to be something wrong with Limewire, I'm using 4.10.9 pro version, and I've never had a problem until today when it just started doing it all of a sudden this morning. I'm about to scrap limewire all together because everytime I pause it reduces my download percentage for some reason. I was downloading a 700mb file and was at 75% and I hit pause and it drops to 9% all of a sudden. I had the same problem earlier in the day and thought it was jsut 4.12 pro, but apparently it's not. Maybe it's just the file I don't know, I did everything like the first post said, and it was working pretty much all day. I have no idea why it's not working now... |

| I have read alot of the posts in this thread.I want to know if my settings are correct.I use Adelphia high speed.I have up to 4mb connection Upload = 384kbs Download =4000kbs Upload setting is 40kps Download is unlimited Download and upload slots are all set to one I have moved the upload slider up and down with mixed results.Currently I am downloading 1 file at 182kbs,but it will dip to 150kps. Wait a minute!!I just checked in at 282kps.I know this depends on the users I connect with,but this was accomplished by lowering my upload speed to from 40kps to 33 kps. OMG it went from 282 up to 342 on this current file.I think setting your download to 1 is the best.You can make adjustments from that point. Final max speed on a 700mb file = 362kps + or - 10kbs in dips. I just tried another file.I am downloading at 157kps.I am using the same settings.I guess it's the luck of the draw.........
