 question even though i was scammed a 1 year and a half ago and "paid" for limewire, i had actually upgraded to the pro version after downloading the free version from limewire, my email address is not being accepted to put the pro version back on my comp? you know, when limewire opens up and the box pops up telling you that a newer version(pro) is available... i go thru the motions and when asked to enter my email, to verifiy that i have already paid for the pro version, my email is not accepted!!!:mad: whats really going on?  |

After that you still can use the Pro version but you won't get any more updates and tech. support (though you'll get help here,.....for free). It is recommended to save the LW installer exe in case something goes wrong with your system (computer)......especially after the 6 month period. If you haven't done so, well, then it is unfortunate for you, as LW doesn't replace the lost exe for you, unless you purchase another 6 month.

 scam This site scammed me winmx-software-download.com and that sent me to this one http://MP3MusicHQ.com/me/login.asp Where I easily downloaded Limewire and wondered why I did not have the pro version. Thanks guys for this forum, It has helped so much. Z (a little less naive now!)  |

 Anyone hear of MP3-source? I paid $49.92 for basic Limewire that I still can't get working on my PC. I downloaded the free one from limewire.com for my mac and it works fine. I can't seem to get anyone on the phone or by e-mail. I believe it is a scam. I 've been tyrying for a month. Is there anything my bank can do? Who do I notify? Even if I don't get MY money back, I want people warned. |

| I have seen simular scams to these on e-bay and on software sights the best place to download the free version is from either limewire.com or c-net/download.com buy the pro version from limewire.com and you won't get scammed.

| I tried 3 times yesterday (August 8, 2006) to upgrade to "limewire pro" and I kept getting an error message saying that my zip code did not match the billing zip code of my charge card. I called my bank to find out why the card would not work and they said the the charge of $18.88 was applied to my account 3 times.....however I never received the pro version and now my account has been charge a lot more than it should have been. Also, the system does not recognize my email address and says that I am not in the system. I cannot receive technical support because I haven't upgraded to the pro version. Please advise....I would very much like to upgrade to "Limewire Pro", but at a charge of only $18.88, not $56.64. PLEASE ADVISE!
