Limewire has gone (possibly, never to return)

Limewire has closed down, no wonder it is outdated, because it came under pressure from the US authorities and the RIAA.

Check out the following link:

New York judge orders LimeWire to close down - Oct. 27, 2010

Hope this help.

When it comes to any peer to peer (p2p) file-sharing program these days, nobody should need to pay for one. There are generally far superior open source 'Free' versions available that will perform better than any attempted commercial version or anybody claiming a great file-sharing program you need to pay for when all they have done is use a free version.

Paypal now has a good system set up for fraud as Pamsmam suggested. Just be careful with spam labelled Paypal you might receive claiming to be from Paypal but in reality fraudsters attempting to obtain your paypal ID log-in details, etc. A typical such spam will suggest some of your paypal account details need updating or are missing some information. Double-check the email address and cross-check it with any genuine paypal emails you might have saved to be sure it matches perfectly & not only include the name paypal within the email address.
