| I sympathise with this poster as I have a similar query. I am new to LW - so much superior to Kazaa. What's the easiest way to load files into my mp3 player. On Kazaa you just made up a playlist connected the mp3 player to your pc rt clicked each track and it loaded straight in. I have the paid for version of Nero so wondering should I transfer my LW downloaded files to there. Although not sure how to do that.

| If you're using Nero as your main player then see: Burning an audio CD from your MP3's which will explain how to get the files to Nero. As for any other type of portable mp3 player, read the manual. hahaha I don't know why you're posting here by the way. Why don't you get iTunes to do your playback. A playlist you must not forget is simply a reference to the songs, so if you move the original location of the songs then that playlist will become unusable. QCD (click on link) is another decent player with in-built codecs & plays ALL music types & is free! |

| Sorry if I posted in the wrong place just thought my query was similar!!! Read the manual - bought my mp3 player in Tenerife only to find when I got back to Scotland could have got it for 1/4 of the price and the manual is written in gobbledegook. Thanks for the advice on itunes. I thought it was for rich ipod owners so I have downloaded it now.

| Before you all snap at me and say 'read the past posts!!!', I've read them all and followed the instructions. I still can't figure this out. My Limewire files are in itunes as a shared folder. My problem is I cannot drag them to a playlist or to the main library or to the ipod icon. They do not move like songs in the main library. I know other people are having this problem. I've tried everything I can think of...can someone please help?? I just got the ipod and want to be able to upload my songs!! Nicole |

| ****, so many different ways... this defs works for em but. now have itunes and limewire open small enough to fit both on screen and from the limewire library highlight and drag the songs over to you itunes library. you dont have to but i have auto update on my ipod so i dont have to manually transfer songs over. does it when you plug in you pod, if not already plugged in. if it is set to manual transfer highlight the ones you want to go to you pod and drag them to the pods library. should work... good luck..........

| Aileas open your options and go to the SAVING tab. this shows where your files are being saved... or you can do a search for a file you know is in the file where they are being saved. its easier to highlight and drag the files over to iTunes or not have limewire as your downloaded files player and it should go to your prefered player.... whether it be itunes, media player, quicktime, whatever... hope this helps

| Use manual settings as below (open this settings window by pressing iPod button on bottom right side of iTunes whilst iPod is connected.) Press OK button. Then drag songs from Library or an entire playlist to the iPod icon. To delete individual songs from iPod, select & press delete key. ![]() Last edited by Lord of the Rings : 3 Days Ago at 07:54 PM. |
