 cancel hello well it seems that i too was scammed i have downloaded this software from www.getsongsnow.com and want my payments returned asap to say that you cannot do this is wrong any contract has to have a cooling off period and legally this one is the same i have used none of the software so i am not obliged to pay in any way it does not matter what you say or whether you do or do not like answering these questions you have my details and i have only sent payment less than 2 hours ago so stop it now or i will be the one taking legal action  |

| Sorry to tell you this but you are posting in the wrong place. You are right you were scammed but no by LimeWire you were scammed by the people that charged you for a free program. LimeWire basic is free and pro cost $18.88 which entitles you to 6 months of free upgrades. My advice to you is get in contact with your credit card company and try to get your money back tell them you were scammed and you might have a chance. | So ok . i have a friend that just bought this today (OFFICIAL limewire). he has problems installing it . he has asked me to see if theres anyway to cancel this . as in he paid by credit card . he was told he had 18 days for something . im sorry i dont have alot of information but he just called me asking me this question . |

| .... Yawn .... Hum Official limewire as you call it can be "basic" that is free, or pro which costs 18.88$ I think and I'm not about to check again.... see www.limewire.com for full details. It would seem to make sense if Your Friend was trying this out for the first time to start with the free version and see how it works out. Then he could upgrasde to Pro is he wished. This is all set out on pages linked from www.limewire.com and if you go there this is all reitterated. Further more the refund policy of Limewire, and the reasoning behind it is laid out on those pages. |

| Very seriously doubt he got it from the official site I have never read anything about having 18 days for anything. If you find it in the official site let us know I just finished reading it and couldn't find anything about a time limited refund policy for PRO. The only thing I can find is the no refund policy and the reasons for it. Your friend was probably scammed.
