Ive seen newbies use their emails for screen names. Emails are constantly posted in topics.

I, personally would not want everyone to know my e-mail address. I don't know why people are always posting them in the forum. It would be best if they just came back to check the thread they made the next day or later, imo.

Hey I know this is off the topic, but do you (or anybody) know of an option Limewire (may) have requiring a username and password to log in and then a log out option as well? Think it would be great if you have kids especially. Thanks.

Or trust your kids, and filter every bad work known to man.

I really need some help here guys, I have experienced a problem with what I think is Limewire. Several weeks ago I download what I thought was Limewire only to get 360 share Pro. I double checked at that time that I had "pushed the right buttons " and every time I punched in limewire.com it came up 360 share pro. I downloaded the programme fully believing it to be limewire and up until yesterday was quite satisfied. Yesterday, however, the programme became inactive, informing me that it was currently connecting to the network. I left the pc on all night thinking that there might be a problem with the site but it was the same this morning. I decided to contact their support team ( I did'nt know I had to be a Sherlock Holmes to eventually send a msg ) In the meantime I read a website somewhere that 360 was a rogue site that used the limewire access. So, me being me, I decided to put in a link " www.limewire.com" Low and behold I got the limewire download page. I followed the instructions and paid for the download by pay pal. Only when the icon appeared on my desktop and when I had clicked on it was I aware that I had downloaded 360 share pro again !!!! I have been trying to contact limewire and pay pal without much success. Any coments please ??? Sincerely Susanna incidently no expert in this minefield of pc's LOL

How Do I Post???

I am hoping that this gets posted. I am new and need to find out how to use this place. I have bunches of questions and no answers. Maybe we could meet half way and I'll give you the qestions, and you can give me the answers.
How do I talk to someone in particular?
How do I know I have any return messages?
How can I get back to where I thought I was yesterday? (having trouble navigating)
And while I'm at it, How do I find out the meaning of life?:newbie2:

I agree with you 100% there. A lot of newbs DO NOT read the stickies posted here in the forums. So yes, it does appear that our requests are indeed falling on deaf ears. It would be nice, though, if people would just pay attention and READ THE DARN STICKIES. :bangh: I mean, how plain do we have to be?

Use of "Sticky's"

Ok, if sticky's are so important, why not make them obvious for "newbies". Don't have time for your games. If you want to post a "sticky" - make it obvious for all to see and know what it is. I don't have time to get a degree in forumism 101! If you're so concerned about "Newbies", why not be a part of solutions rather than continue to be a part of the proliferation and defamation? You once were, what they are now. How many times did you screw up on a forum (any forum) before you learned the ropes. You mistakenly assume that because you have all the answers and excel in perfectionism, that everyone else should also and you portray an image that "newbies" are doing this deliberately. Why not just cut to the chase and post a big sign that says "NO NEWBIES ALLOWED"! You better wake up real soon and realize that newbies are the life-blood of any forum and without them, this or any forum will experience a "slow-death". Or perhaps that is your wish! Personally, I'm glad to have them. WELCOME ABOARD NEWBIES!
