i use windows xp with PAE and 1.5 gig ram on a64 3200

limewire is always comming up with this error

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

im running version 4.9.37

i tried others versions with no diffrence

how do i fix it????

ok i reinstalled everything and turned itunes off and im barely sharing my 9000 files but it works

i dedicate 25 percent of my bandwidth to sharing files on two pcs but it would be nice if they made it support atleast 50 000 files

Setting your uploads & downlds to autoclear can also help reduce memory, as can particularly reducing no. of incomplete files. Not allowing the searches tabs to get into multiple rows if they've been there for many hours may also help. Java is such a memory hog but I guess it can only improve.

Like Hobo, and I am a PC user (Win XP - Home, LW Pro 4.9.37, 512MB, 60GB HD, 2 x Ext. 150GB HD), I ran into problems sharing between 1,500 to 1800 files. I had to cut this down to around 10% because Java crashed and LW became unstable, now I'm OK.

i found a bug in limewire 4.9.28 can shar alot files without errors when running on java 1.5 update 4 altho its strange it works
