You're using windows right? I can only guess because you've left no details.

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 in Fixes for Limewire (sample at bottom of page.)

If that doesn't fix it, try step #1 in the same link using the "Offline" version.

tried it still wont work

Tried it all except step 1...the java site wont let u DL ..says its too busy. This new 4.10 ersion is CRAP!!!!! the 4.9 gave me no problems at all. The only thing i did to my pc is compress my files but i did that with old version and it worked fine...Cant figure y it worked first night and not now

Disable your XP firewall!!! XP & Norton firewalls will interfere with each other. Tips on how to disable XP's firewall: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...842#post178842

* Configuring Norton Internet Security

What brand & model of modem/router do you have? See if you can log into it with your browser to ensure UPnP & enabled. Try deleting the LW prefs folder again & try with the Java again. You may also need to search for the prefs folder using the search function with options set to show hidden files: C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\LimeWire

LW 4.10.x now locates the LW prefs folder in a new location. You can find it in the same fashion as FrostWire: How to delete your FrostWire Preferences folder except you search limewire & not frostwire or .limewire

ie: Application Data is a "hidden" folder.
