These volunteers keep the board organized and moving. Moderators are authorized to: (in order of increasing severity) Move posts to the correct forums. Many times, members post in the wrong forum. These off-topic posts may impede the normal operation of the forum. Edit posts. Moderators will edit posts that are offensive or break any of the House Rules. Delete posts. Please do not respond directly to the member - a moderator will do what is required. 8. Any impersonation of a forum member in any mode of communication is strictly prohibited and will result in banning. 9. Multiple copies of the same post will not be tolerated. Post your question, comment, or complaint only once. There is no need to express yourself more than once. Duplicate posts will be deleted with little or no warning. 10. Do not divulge anyone's personal information in the forum, not even your own. This includes e-mail addresses, IP addresses, age, house address, and any other distinguishing information.  Newbie in over His Head I need some help....installed(or tried to)media player 11 from windows after a botched xp pro sp2 upgrade....got all kinhds of grief from microsoft......at install, media player 11 says it will make "URGE MY ONLINE STORE" and proceeds to start d/ling 2 files......only its been d/ling URGE 1 of 2 Items for about 20 minutes and reads 50% constantly with time remaining unknown kind of getting nervous cause this is a leased computer.....don't want to mess it up tooo much. also new to limewire.....signal keeps fadeing out. cant seem to find the add folders to share button. ........If you are out there and can help me......please do  |

| currently trying to validate my xp pro sp2....found out what "URGE" is...mtv online radio/store....media player 11 beta forced it on me cause i installed while online...took till now to figure out what was wrong. Now i have 30 days to figure out how to activate xp pro..... as for sharing...all my mp3 got turned to wma....but i use nero to make mp4's for my friends psp....will be sharing those soon...any requests? only on dial up so i can only do dvd releases recoded to nero digital mid next week i get high speed so i 'll be d/ling some "as yet non dvd released" movies |

| should do XviD instead. While Nero is the one of the best all round players/burners out there, there is no need to make a new format. Xvid works fine and .h264 or something like that is getting popular as well. A bit drunk and that was a guess from memory so sorry if I messed it up

| Round 2 for Newbie..... well, i might be able to provide some ammusement....tried for a quick fix to my "activating xp pro" problem...d/l from lime wire...computer deleted before i could open.....said it was a trojan. crappy. anyways..... does that divx format play on psp? my friends psp manual says psp plays mp4...doesn't mention divx or xvid. anyways i'll get to the bottom of it. its the key issue in my election campaign (running for dummy of the month  )...so full sys restore and acouple hours of installing etc. and i'm o.k. |
