im sure many of you have used azerus ( spelt right? ) and demonoid.com to download torrents... well demonoid have a little system for ratio which changes on how much you download and share... the more you download without sharing, the lower your ratio depends.. surely using a script to limit their download speed according to their ratio would be doable?

you could store ratio info on a remote server or on the client pc,

You can set limewire up to only share with people that share a certain amount of files tho, under tools > options.. and i don't remember from there, but it's there.

ok..well...i just downloaded that crap of a site "musicjustfree" and it doesnt tell how to get rid of your account with them..can someone please just tell me how to cancel my membership or contact these people!?!? When dealing with these scamsites it's best to do it through your bank. Cancel your creditcard and get a new one just to be on the safe side.

Also make a complaint against them. You might even get a refund. Try to get contact info for the site and complain there as well demanding a refund.

Other than that your post is really vague. You don't say actually what happened so any more advice if hard to give. The above is just what you probably should do.

there really wasn't much for me to explain, although i know it would probably be much more helpful, but all that happend was i downloaded that site, and i clicked on it, nothing happend. i click a thousand times, STILL nothing..so then i figured i might as well cancel my membership, only the problem is, i CANT..but that you for the information given. I really wasn't expecting such a quick reply. The only reason i downloaded that crapass site was because i got an ipod and need a download site..does anybody know a good ipod site???

Log in to the site that scammed you and try to find contact details. Then demand a refund from them.

Good to hear. Just see if the refund is really refunded before you get so joyfull. If not then be vigilant about it. Complain to the FBI etc.

These sites promise absolutely free downloads of copyright material when there is no such thing, except for those countries who have cooler laws (like mine)

yea. must be nice to have "not so strict" laws...not like HERE..I think it's really stupid how people come up with these retarded sites that just screw you over..you have to be pretty evil and have NO LIFE AT ALL!!! since they are the ones doing illegal advertising, they don't have the right to close anyone down. This here is just a userbased filesharing community that you stumbled over.
