Angry Spy Ware

Installed limewire when to my suprise norton tells me about a new trojan that has just been found on my computer. When i went and looked it up at the norton antivirus website it told me the file comes from spyware included in limewire and is installed even if you select no during setup. Id stick to morpheus if i was you, at least you'll be short the trouble of having to remove a trojan and will still get the songs you want.

Exclamation Spy Ware

A Program Called Pest Patrol is a life saver when it comes to Spy Ware and Trojans. If you think Lime Wire has Trojans your right. If you think Lime Ware has Spy Ware your right. I ran my Pest Patrol and found 260 imbedded spy ware snitches and 14 Possible Trojans on the first try. I am Pissed Since I could not figure out where the fake e-mails were coming from. They were sending random e-mail with My Doom Worms attached from outside jerks . If I did not have the fix programs I would have been in trouble. To think "I PAID FOR MY LIME WIRE" Not I am taking legal action against them. Try the Pest Patrol and save yourself some trouble.

****Contrary to what the "SUPER MODERATOR" may say regarding Pest Patrol , Lime Wire Spies, and Possible Trojans, "In order to call the program designers for this Award Winning Program "Idiots" is ....rediculas. The program Lime Wire is KNOW TO INSTALL SPY WARE and the "Super Moderator is obviously "Pro Lime Wire", and giving opinions without substantiation. Beware of Lime Wire.

LimeWire does not contain or install 'Trojans' on your machines.

PestPatrol is garbage. It reports finding instances of 'adware/spyware' because the 'definitions' that it uses were written by lazy idiots... In the case of LimeWire specifically, PestPatrol is using definitions which report ALL LimeWire files.
Hence, PestPatrol is garbage and you do yourselves no favours by using it.

Norton did NOT find a 'Tojan' installed by LimeWire on your machine. If... IF you were to read information from Norton you would understand that not all reports of 'hostile' findings are necessarily accurate. Further, if you were to find a 'Trojan' in one of your LimeWire folders, that does NOT indicate that the 'Trojan' was installed BY LimeWire.

I am not affiliated with LimeWire.
I am not trying to upset or insult you.
I AM TRYING to help you as it is clear that you need to become more familiar with certain aspects of using ANY applications that involve a connection with the internet.

Again, my comments about PestPatrol are quite correct and are not ill-advised or misplaced.

I would like to urge you to click on this link > Norton Security Response Virus Alerts and Definitions

You will find very much excellent information there and links to even more.
