Default Can't Connect With LimeWire

I've had LimeWire in the past & never had a problem. I just got it a few days ago & can't seem to connect. The bottom left of the screen says "connecting" but nothing ever happens. I use DSL to connect to the internet. I have a Linksys router. I run Windows XP. The modem is AT&T. I allowed the firewall to recognize LimeWire. I can't think of anything else that is preventing it from working. PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you.
