Question about a porn movie download on Limewire.

Hello,

About 2 years ago I downloaded a really good porn movie on Limewire, but the hard drive I had it stored on broke and I've forgotten the name of the vid,
but the thing is 'it was a random download that I found on Limewire but I know a lot of the details, can you give me advice on how I could find it (like searching for random porn files) and I know I can't give details of the vid here, but can you show me a forum that I could try to get it ID'd by giving the details please?
1 thing I'm trying to do is look at uploaders libraries but I'm mostly gettin the error message:(, to me that would be the best thing to do since it did seem like a popular vid.

Sorry now, but I've never used Limewire to connect with ANY1 so I know nothing about how I could go about this:D.

And another small thing, if I type in any random character/artist in the vid section, I get some proper results and a whole lot of other results that don't seem to relate, (Is there any way that I can set it up so that I can get only results that must contain all the words I typed?

Hope I didn't violate any rule's here, sorry if I did:o

Thanks.

Greetings Lemonleader,

You might find the title via a Google search.

You said you dl'd this via LW, but later said you've never connected to anyone. If you dl'd via LW, then you connected with at least one other user on the network.
Some great info in this thread: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...ad-issues.html

Although this link is included on the page link Blackhorse gave you, this is also valuable resource How to find music & video. ie: use of filters when needed. And doing specific type searches. If using the advanced search option, don't fill in more than one category else you will get a lots of spam if not mostly spam in the search result.

Every search takes 3-5 minutes before the results have fully returned. So wait more than 5 mins after a search & right-click the search tab & choose Get/Find More Results.

For Porn, I think there are particular search terms that help. Depends on the movie you are after however.
For example if you did an Advanced search (from under the Options menu), you could search video type & adult category or R rating. However, this is not to say everyone puts such labeling on the videos they share. But should probably help to bring up some relevant results perhaps. Worth a try at least.

Beware of video spam below 3 MB in size. Some of them actually have viruses incorporated inside of them. As Blackhorse pointed out to look at that link, proper movies, even porn movies would be between 200 MB up to over 1 GB. But this also depends on the length of the video & the quality & dimensions.

AVI videos often do not show the video's dimensions or the length of the video. However, mpeg/mpg, mp4 / m4v will.

(AVI is an out-of-date video container for the newer video formats such as H264, unfortunately many people still use it. mp4 is far better. Not to say AVI movies are not good though.)

OK thanks for the replies guys, sorry I took so long 'I was just trying out a few things you said + reading other topics and so on!

I knew a lot of that stuff already, but it was still helpfull, although I haven't found what I'm looking for yet.

Yeah I made a mistake about interacting, I meant to say chatting, I'd like to sign in but it's asking for Gmail, LiveJournal or other, can you give me some advice on what I should use and how? I've never used any of them!
Can I view more peoples files if I log in and is there a reason why I can't view most peoples files now? most of the time I only get to view about 1 out of every 10 peoples lists.

To be honest I never have my uploads on because someone told me to keep them off since the authorities can see that your contributing, is this true, (Is it safe to turn them on?) I know it is only fair to upload since I am downloading. What is the best way to do this? is it just a matter of changing the upload limits and putting files I want to upload into the Limewire folder and that's it?
EDIT!!!: OK I've set my shared folder (Limewire video downloads only) but what if I want to add music files that were not downloaded from LW, do I have to do anything with them 'like put them in a different folder or will Limewire automatically recognise that they are different (yes obviously I think) is it that easy?

And what's the best way to make friends on it 'since it's not like Facebook and I'll know absolutely nobody:cheesy:.
I don't want to be annoying people like!:o

And by the way I love both your avatars, especially the (Damn not given) 1, it had me in stitches Lol.

I'm pretty sure I've left something out, but I'll fill it in if I think of it lol!

And thanks again.

P2P file-sharing is about .. "Sharing" files. If nobody were sharing their files, there would be no files for anybody to download. :D

I personally share multiple thousands.

For specific file & folder sharing in LW 5, you can simply drag & drop any files or folders onto the Shared List icon near top left side of LW's 'My Files' window. This will then share those specific files or folders.

I've never used the gmail option in LW 5 so I cannot help you there. :o Someone else will hopefully give you some clues on how to use it.

OK thanks, yeah it must be OK so considering 'so I too have uploaded over 9000 song files:D, hope Eircom don't come knocking at my door . I can see now how annoying it is to see other people dwnloading your stuff but when you go to search there file's your not allowed:bangh:, It makes me want to cancel the upload 'but that would make me somewhat of a hippocrite now wouldn't it :cheesy:, perhaps if who-evers running Limewire put a notice up when you startup Limewire that other people most-likely will cancel uploads if you don't contribute as well (but I think that would be going too far and would maybe **** people off) maybe they conseiderred it, but had lots of reason's not to do it. But the reason not many people use it now is because of the lack of file's 'like for instance they have all of the pop music but very very little underground stuff, if they gave people a good reason to contribute then it would be a lot better, because it clearly is a lot easier to use than Rshare or hotfile which are probably a lt more popular at this stage.
But for some reason I'm not sending out too many uploads, the only ones where about 4 or 5 porn movies and I only have about 25 lol and I haven't uploaded a single song out of about 9000 (my God what a filthy community:cheesy:) nah but all of the songs are on itunes and I have changed most of the album names to ******'S cd 01 etc... maybe people recognise the wrong album info (Is that it?)

No prob, well anyway I've been reading through the forum and so on 'and I have read that it's not a reliable feature and you have to allready have friends on Gmail outside of Limewire to speak too and add 'I think I'll forget about that:xeri_ok1ani:, I don't really want everyone I know to see all the porn I have lol (not that anybody doesn't look at it:D) but seriously it would be a bit better if we could do it anonymously 'you know, but sure what can you do:(

In case this sounds like a bit of a rant 'don't get me wrong (I love Limewire):super:
Thanks again.

It's not quite so easy with LW 5, though with LW 4 you could add descriptions to each file which others could see in their search results. This also helped files be found using special keywords in the description.
LW 5 does have this ability but not as advanced as LW 4 had, also they did not finish putting the description tool to either videos or programs. I find that annoying, since i cannot describe my vidoes.

Instead, what I do is find the file in the Shared List, right-click & selct View File Info..., then copy in the title plus a little extra information. This is what the people will see in their search result, though the filename will remain what it was originally.

For music, make sure you have reasonable id3 tags. I tag all mine as well as I can. This may include equivalent of description, album art, lyrics, etc.

For images I can give a description in the File Information description box. I use keywords I know people will use to search for a similar topic. Thus the hits on such files rises quite considerably.

As for browsing hosts. This has always been the hardest/most unreliable to do from the Upload window. Besides that, the Browse Host tool has never been 100% reliable. This may be due to the person being firewalled, or bandwidth or upload slots all full, or combination, etc. Many factors.

If I cannot browse them, I make a note of what they have just downloaded, then search for it. Wait a few minutes & Right click the search tab & choose Find More Results (need to wait 3-5 mins after a normal search because that's how long it can take for all results to return.) I repeat this cycle. Since people share their downloads by default, it means a reasonable chance that if they are sharing, then hopefully the searches will find a file they have downloaded from me. ie: I select all the results in the search results, then right click & choose Browse or ban host just to see who is listed as having those files. And compare to the person who was downloading from me to see if they are listed. This is also not a 100% guaranteed process but does give another option if you suspect they are not sharing & cannot browse them. :)

I understand most of what your saying but I don't get the part (And compare to the person who was downloading from me to see if they are listed) even if they are listed I still shouldn't be able to acces the files should I not. And why try to find a file downloaded from me? And do you mean select every result even if it doesn't relate to what your searching for? sorry:o

Lord of the Rings February 10th, 2011 11:16 AM

That's just a little extra I do sometimes, it's not really important. Just to see if that user shows up in search results for an item they downloaded from me. They may not show up in initial searches which is why I do several 'Find more results' so it may take 20 mins overall. I usually search several of the items they downloaded from me also.

If the user shows up in search results, it is much easier to browse them. Of course no guarantees. But as I suggested earlier, browsing from upload window is the most difficult.

Since I share so much I am a little fussy about freeloaders. Personally I don't mind them grabbing a few files. But if they are grabbing a large amount it might make me wonder since they are using up my upload slots & my upload slots usually have a large demand. So if I cannot browse them I search for the files they have downloaded from me to verify they are freeloaders.
If I suspect it's someone just starting out then that's fine, as long as they are sharing what they downloaded from me.

One kind of freeloader: sometimes I can browse them (if only via the approach in top paragraph), sometimes they are sharing 'some' files, if only the files they downloaded that session (usually mostly mine lol.) But each time I try to download files from them, they don't download. I refresh the browse host result, discover they removed the files I attempted to download. This cycle repeats & repeats. ie: they are deliberately trying to prevent me downloading from them. I ban them in that situation. I've seen so many do this over past few months. It's highly annoying.

There are also those who clear their shares after each session. Thus only have what they downloaded that session. How do I know this? Made a note of their identity from previous sessions.

Of course not everyone shares what they just downloaded, they might check the files first before sharing. And some of these people may be sharing files but different kinds of files from what they are downloading from you. eg: might be sharing movies or pictures instead of the music they downloaded from you or vice-versa, etc.

Lemonleader February 10th, 2011 11:55 AM

I had a feeling that's what you were saying alright, just wanted to be sure, yeah so that explains why some files just never download, do they do that for fun I.E to **** us off or are they afraid of getting caught?
I agree it is HIGHLY annoying, especially if they know how all of this works:mad2:.
I still haven't uploaded any music:eek: and I have music from the 50's to 90's lot's of 00's all the recent pop music except for this weeks (All of which I've downloaded from Limewire) and of course my favourite which is Trance (full quality MP3's that I purchased from Beatport, Dancetunes.com etc) haven't got much Trance lately though, but then again I never had any luck with Trance on LW so I guess nobody bothers searching it, but all the rest I can't understand. Some files have gotten up to 3000 hits in a few hours lol, I know that means that they just showed up in the search results 'but you'd think it would get at least 1 download lol, (OK wait I think I get it) people usually only download songs on the top of the search list) and I have changed mine some-bit, is that why yeah?

Cheers.
