When is something going to be done about it on servers like this one, Morpheus and the like?

I know it can be halted! If Napster can put a filter on all new and copyrighted songs that are released, then these servers can do the same!... But they don't???

Someone tell me why they don't? And why their not forced to?

If something isn't done about this soon... Then I will be starting my very own campain to stop it... Somehow?

I know I'm not the only one who feels this strongly! Join me, tell me if you know whats being done about it... PLEASE!

There should be an option to filter this crap out so you don't have to even type the words in the filter thing. That way kids and whoever will not see this language even in the options.

If implemented, it would be good if in order to uncheck the option for it, a password would be required.

xolox had an excelent porn filter. since it is no longer supported it could be coppied.

something definitely needs to be done about the accessability to child porn on this engine. people who get turned on by **** imagery and the abuse of children in pornography don't need their impaired ideals nurtured by a steady **** of this crap on limewire. is anyone who has the ability to affect change going to read this, or just a bunch of angry people who share the same thought?

all you need to do is look at the ip number and give them a scear by up lodeing a fake trojen horse saying i got ya sucka!!! that will give make them stop

And how would you knows who's ip is a downloading child porn unless you already have something on your hd they're downloading from you they think is child porn?

If you find anyone sharing CP,
1. get the IP number (eg. 123.45.6.789)
2. identify the owner at RIPE NCC Homepage (http://www.ripe.net/), APNIC Whois & Search (http://www.apnic.net/search/index.html), Allwhois.com (http://www.allwhois.com/), or the like. These sites will give you information about the owner of the IP address. They'll give you mail address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc.
3. E-mail them, phone them, or write to them that you know he/she is sharing CP, and that you are prepared to take further action when you see them sharing again.

If the recipient of your notice was THE person who was sharing, it would give him/her a scare, better yet, if your mail reaches the company, school, or any other institution to which the guy belongs, there's a posibility that he/she will be sacked for using public network for personal, and filthy purpose.

So, have fun.

For instance, I've just located a naughty guy sharing a file named "kiddy porn..." (2MB or so).
I can see this guy's IP address is *4.165.3*.6*
I went to http://www.arin.net/whois/ and saerch for this IP address.
I got an address of a college (both mailing address and an e-mail address) located in East coast of US.
So, from this, I can say that this guy is using a college network to share the file. Most likely, the college will not like to have this kind of activity under their nose. All I need to do is to notify the college the exact IP address which I found (i.e. *4.165.3*.6*), and the content of what this user was sharing. The administrater can do the rest. I don't need to know who this guy was. The college will handle him/her appropriately.

Of course, not every IP addresses are disclosed. Also if the user is using a dial-up system, it'll be harder to locate (although you will still get the provider).

What are you trying to do? Playing Gnutella Nazi, searching for people who share what appears to be child porn?

Do you actually download the files and watch them to verify it is really child porn? If you do, I bet you've seen a lot of it, you pervert!
