Default bearshare wont work with vista

hi everyone i just purchased vista home edition and for some reason bearshare wont finnish the downloads also the buttons under the search option are all scrambled i have tyed heaps of older versions and lite any help would be great thanks jdudley10.

Move the downloads folder to your personal folders, somewhere in
"C:\Documents and Settings\Your_Name". Your desktop, for example.

What do you mean by scrambled buttons? Describe the problem.

its hard to explane its like there blury its like refresh buttons and forward that whole row are aver lapping each other and blury

ists like the whole row are over lapping each other were the forward and refresh buttons are the whole row

I think you can configure any program in Vista to run without the graphical
extras of Vista. I'll never use Vista, so I can't help you with that.

It is not a matter of graphical extras, if I may say, but what should be done is as follows:

rightclick bearshare.exe in c:\program files\Bearshare\
lefclick Properties
leftclick Compatibility tab
leftclick empty square next to the "Windows XP ..." (if that is your OS)
leftclick apply
leftclick OK

Now run the program and visualy everything should be fine

Still i have some conectivity issues, although during instalation of programs after installing Vista in one moment it worked just fine, now i have some problems which i hope to resolve soon.
