Posts that cannot be edited to comply with the House Rules will be deleted. Restrict members. This is one of the last punishments before a member is banned. Restrictions may include placing all new posts in a moderation queue or temporarily banning the offender. Ban members. The most severe punishment. Three or more moderators or administrators must agree to the ban for this action to occur. Banning is reserved for very severe offenses and members who, after many warnings, fail to comply with the House Rules. Banning is permanent. Bans cannot be removed by the moderators and probably won't be removed by the administration. The Rules 1. Warez, copyright violation, or any other illegal activity may NOT be linked or expressed in any form. Remember to post in the correct forum. Take your time to look at other threads and see where your post will go. If your post is placed in the wrong forum it will be moved by a moderator. 7. If you see a post in the wrong forum or in violation of the House Rules, please contact a moderator via Private Message or the "Report this post to a moderator" link at the bottom of every post. Please do not respond directly to the member - a moderator will do what is required. 8. Any impersonation of a forum member in any mode of communication is strictly prohibited and will result in banning. 9. Multiple copies of the same post will not be tolerated. Post your question, comment, or complaint only once. There is no need to express yourself more than once. Duplicate posts will be deleted with little or no warning. 10. Posts should have descriptive subjects. Vague titles such as "Help!", "Why?", and the like may not get enough attention to the contents. 11. Do not divulge anyone's personal information in the forum, not even your own. This includes e-mail addresses, IP addresses, age, house address, and any other distinguishing information. Don´t use eMail addresses in your nick. 12. Signatures may be used as long as they are not offensive or sexually explicit. 13. Failure to show that you have read the forum rules may result in forum rules breach infraction points or warnings awarded against you which may later total up to an automatic temporary or permanent ban. Supplying system details is a prerequisite in most cases, particularly with connection or installation issues. Violation of any of these rules will bring consequences, determined on a case-by-case basis. Thank You! Thanks for taking the time to read these forum guidelines. We hope your visit is helpful and mutually beneficial to the entire community. |

| Ok, I have seen many people say, oh shareaza takes way to long to connect to g1. Well, im sorry folks, im about to tell you step by step, how to make shareaza connect to G1 just as fast as limewire, in only a few very simple steps! Shareaza Beta versions (daily builds) support UHC for G1 now just like LimeWire! 1. Go to this page http://shareaza.com/daily/ and download the latest installer version. 2. Install the file after you downloaded it. 3. Once shareaza is open, hit the "F9" key on the keyboard. This will bring up the "Discovery Services" window. 4. Look for a link in this window that starts with "uhc:blablabla....." 5. If you DID see a link starting with "uhc:...." then you are ready to go! If not, move to the next step. 6. You must delete all the links in this window to force shareaza to put the default list back. To make this easy, you can select the first link in the list and hold the SHIFT key and then select the last one. This will select the complete list at one time, then you can right click it and select "Remove Hosts" and the default list will appear in place of the old list you just deleted. You should now see at least one link starting with "uhc:..." in the list. That is it! You should now be able to connect to G1 (Gnutella1)/LimeWire very quickly and easily. Please Sticky this untill the next stable release of shareaza is made with the UHC support. |

| Use Soulseek for music and Emule Plus for video. Shareaza Gnutella stinks these days- doesnt work on windows 2000 or windows XP (fresh installs). Used to KICK ***. Spec: *P4 2.6ghz *windows XP *broadband 1Mb download, upload 15 kB/s ![]() (Limewire is worst of all because at least shareaza has edonkey and isnt infested with adware) (Shareaza seems to be untalked about) |

| If you want the best of gnutella again try the last uncrippled version of BearShare, 5.1.0b25. It was a beta so there was no adware, the download limits were cranked way up beyond reason and you can flip it into UP mode at will. All the BearShare insiders still use this one. |

| Hi everyone. i'm new on this forum. it seems shareaza forums are gone for the time being and i need to ask something about Gnutella connections. Last week my old computer with XP crashed and I got a new laptop with XP again. i installed Shareaza 2.2.1.0 again that i had been using for some time. But right now i'm having problems getting connected to Gnutella 1&2 networks. It is not connected automatically. Even though everything is automatic on the settings. And it is not connected multiple networks. There is message saying that with XP Service Pack 2 there is limited network connections. I don't understand the meaning. Last week everything was working fine with the same environment. Shareaza starts up automatically but on 'disconnected' status. Right now i have to manually get connected to edonkey2000 network every time i open Shareaza. It works fine with edonkey but i want gnutellas back. edonkey is full of firewalled sources. And Shareaza seems it changed the interface. But it is the same version with i was using 2 weeks ago. Why did the interface changed? Can anyone help me with my problem please? What should i do about the GNU connections? Thanks for advance. INCI from Norman, OK |

| your environment is NOT the same...you have a new computer and its probably stuffed full of cr@pware which is degrading performance...also I bet Raza stores information about past connections, and as noted you have a new machine which doesn't have the 'history' of your old one

| Thanks for your reply, peerless. I don't still understand why i cannot get connected to GNU networks. I realized that i was not in the POWER MODE on Shareaza, i changed it to POWER Mode. I guess i need new GWebCaches, right? I don't understand at all what it means, but...I need to try some things. ON F9 Discovery Services, I right-click in the GWebcache lines and 'query now' but this doesn't seem to work either. Is this to do something about the Ports? I can't figure out anything at all. Help!! Where is Shareaza Wiki? I need a user guide i guess. |
