Connection problems

Is Shareaza still down? While utilizing the program it never connects to the server. I've tried deleting and reloading and had no success. And before that (while it was still connecting) downloaded programs once completed would vanish from the transfer page as if deleted. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You can follow the progress of Shareaza on Sourceforge..

SourceForge.net: Shareaza

For your connecting problem..

I'm assuming that you had a connection previously, but to save going down the wrong road, do the connection test here..Shareaza Connection Test - Atomo64

If that fails, then you have a Router or Firewall problem :(

If you pass, then try this...

Hit F9 to open the Discovery Services window, then query one of the GWebCaches by right-clicking it.

Then Hit F8 to see if there have been any hosts added to G1 & G2 host cache.

If there are none, go to - Gnutella web cache scan report
Right-click and copy one of the Caches then add it to your Shareaza in the Discovery Services window, then query that..if it doesn't work at first attempt, try adding others.

Good Luck :)

EDIT: One thing I forgot to mention.. when you get your host cache filled up.. Disconnect from the network and Reconnect ;)

G2 and G1 NOW Connected

After deinstalling all my Firewall, Hub, AV, P2P software, formatting my hard drive and installing XP new with all fresh software installs, configuring the Firewall and Hub (BT BB) Shareaza still not connecting to G2 & G1...Arrrgh!!
I Followed Kaths instuctions to link- (Gnutella Web Cache Scan Report)
Gnutella web cache scan report copied the Cache Link to Discovery Services then right clicked to Add Service then pasted the Cache Link...it showed at the bottom of the list. I then right clicked it to Query Now. I did this quite a few times with various Gnutella Cache links and YIPPEE now connected to G2 and G1.
:thankyou: Kath
I hope Shareaza looks into this as its complicated and many would give up first as I so nearly did.
As I openly share my files (4769 of them 50G+) then maybe Shareaza should make it easier for me to share them.
It was only because I have used Shareaza for a couple of years that I battled on to get access to Gnutella.
One day everything was okay the next no connection to G2 & G1. Maybe the Shareaza Download Manager should automatically update the Gnutella Server list and log it for all future connections. Any Thoughts?

Glad it worked for you.. it works for me every time ;)

I've noticed you only lose your list of hosts if Shareaza hasn't been run for a while.
