time zones

Hmmm . . . it's 10:25 AM here in GMT-6 CST Saskatchewan. The posts show 11:25.

Yes, the forum time is 1h wrong. Just change your time zone (I know, it shouldn't be you who does it).

NOw that this has come up, it has to be stated that we mods have no control over the site itself. This changes can only be made by the admins.

Thanks--your suggestion worked.

By admin, I guess you mean CycloCide? I'm guessing time zone prefs are a vBullletin situation, and CycloCide would be the one to pass it on.

Even politically correct Apple didn't recognize that Saskatchewan doesn't observe any daylight savings time changes in the CST time zone.

The time zones seem to be accurate for everyone in the US.

Perhaps the vBulletin 2.2.9 "Time offset" choices in Gnutella Forums > User Control Panel > Edit Options could be asked to look into a time zone setting for Saskatchewan or other places that don't use Daylight Savings Time, even though they aren't in the US. vBulletin does have an option for the 1/2 hr difference in Newfoundland. Apple is another international company that solved this minor problem.

Since "most of Saskatchewan uses Central Standard time all year round," I don't change my computer time or clocks. In vBulletin 2.2.9 this means Saskatchewan is like GMT-7 in the summer, GMT-6 in the winter.

In my case, it is wrong as well. It says ithe time now is 1:57 AM, while it's 00:55 AM. Argentina has only one time zone throughout the year (althogh it should have more) and it's GMT -03:00.

Testing

Edit: the time zone is accurate for me. I live in Iowa, USA.

All times are GMT -7. The time now is 11:44 PM.
