Members assigned titles

Just curious to the new forum members assigned titles. I was going through the members list and I noticed that new members are Junior members until 30 post. They then become Members until 99 post they are then Senior Members until somewhere around 900? from there they appear to be Registered users. What is the significance of this new title if any

Those are just the defaults in vBulletin. They don't have any significance.

seems that everyone now posting, except moderators is a registered user, and I was going to moan that it can't be changed .. but someone saw me coming. The option to change is there.. I'm delighted to say .. as also is the ability to browse in invisible mode.. Thanks!!!!!!!

Now ...does anyone know the significanse of the grey green and Red buttons
beside members names in the posts ?

Green means online, grey means offline. Red means online in invisible mode.

BTW some changes may be permanent, some may be trial.

And being invisible mode was there before in the previous vBulletin version, but it wasn't as obvious & easily found as it is now.

Hmm I'm not sure about red being online in invsible mode. I mean .. the idea is that no one knows your online, and if you have a red thingy beside you it defeats the object of the exercise ... also ..I was a red button before I switched to invisible ..just became a green one for a while 24 hours ago...

Never mind .... more importantly. Are images going to be shown automatically. I have enabled them but they do not show up .. I'm thinking particularly of the iTunes thread you mentioned yesterday... (can't find the thread lol)

So there really isn't an invisible mode. If you show as red when using it.

yep my thoughts exactly. I haven't noticed any one other than me in red you are grey and I am red at this end ..I'm confused .. but it doesn't take much lol :)

Lord of the Rings March 31st, 2006 02:38 PM

To me you both are red. Red faced I mean. lol :D Well perhaps I'm wrong about my assumption, but that is the way it seemed. I haven't had time to check up on all the specific icons & other things as of yet.

As for the images, we're working on it. One idea is to keep it the way it is but have thumbnails. But we're presently working on getting the thumbnails working. It could take a week or more. One advantage of doing it this way is hopefully it will take people less time to load up pages. They only need to downld what images apply to them. It will hopefully also mean less strain on the server without having to display them everytime someone loads the page.

We still have some fine tuning to deal with.

Your Grey at this end. And if I am Grey at that end then red must only show up on our computers. And I didn't see your or the lord,s name in who is on line

The Lord moves in mysterious ways. The rest of us are bound to run round chasing or tales:D

I did switch back to visible mode just now and went green.. I'm back as invisible now ..and red ..so I guess it just shows yourself that you are invisible.

Oh and btw ... I have recieved a database error for the second time this evening ..trying to post this .. hope it doesn't post over and over:(
