When did I say that I use Mac OS or Linux? Yes, I know about
the "seriouz appz". First of all, you can't afford those. Second, you have no use for them. Trust me, you don't need Cinema4D, Acrobat, Photoshop, Word, Excel etc. There a free or cheap alternatives for those - that is if you need such tools at all. Most of you just use them to brag like brats.
There are bazillions of shareware and non-shareware "appz", probably more than for any other system. Unfortunately, the vast majority of those is pure crap. If you count only those of acceptable quality I bet there aren't any more tools than
for any other system.
I could still laugh and barf when I remember the time I was looking for an alternate low profile web browser other than IE, Netscape and Opera - Mozilla didn't exist at that time. 99% of the "alternate" browsers (and I think there were more than 100) were nothing but mods for IE...and horrible ones. And don't even get me started on this Visual Basic scrap.

No, the other OS are not safer because hackers don't care. You should really consume less Microsoft FUD. There's no OS which is completely flawless - nobody sane in his brain would claim that. Anyway, most other operating systems are safer because they have better concepts and it shows. Microsoft is just veeeeeeeery slowly approaching the same (security) concepts used everywhere else especially in Unix-like systems. Hell, it took Microsoft over 20 years to get where everybody has been for 10 years when they started.

That speaks for itself. An operating system that requires virus scanner is nothing but scrap. I'd revoke my payment if I were you - wait did you pay for it? You really think running those shitty scanners makes your system secure? I give you a hint: An anti-baby **** doesn't help against AIDS neither does a virus scanner help against malware or yet unidentified viruses. You have a very narrow sense of security - maybe you just use two scanners because it's cool or whatever. And you still have to clean out the spyware daily? Get yourself a typewriter and a gameboy, you might save a couple of hours each day.

There are no viruses in the Windos-sense for Mac OS because it uses quite a different concept which makes it far less vulnerable than Windos. I don't promote Mac OS or care about it all, it's the "better Windos" though in any case. A proper Unix beats it any time, though.

i did pay for my copy of windows ....20$... but i still payed for it none the less.

my AVs are not shitty , they are both compeatley automatic and update themselvs dayley , they allsow use huristic(think thats what its called) scaning so thay do in fact combat unidentifide viruses . the one AV program is allsow a combined firewall,spyware remover, anti dialer and an email spam filter.
i think my system is verry secure, and if any thing should happen ,i have all my inportant files on the second HDD and backed up on CD/zip disk .

anti baby pills do what they were designed to do and nothing more, and i beleve there is an AIDS vaccine due by 2010. allsow AIDS ,babys and sex have nothing to do with computers so i dont know why you brought it up in the first place.

ad aware personal onley takes bout 30seconds to do a compleat scan and everything els is automatic. if YOUR anti-malware scanner takes an hour id sujest you get a new one.

yes a windows virus can be carried on a mac an then relesed without the mac being harmed at all by the virus that is deadley for windows.

Fine and how many people compose music (on a PC)? When I look at the majority of topics here, I really wonder how they found the power switch and this place. For a few people that have to work with Windos at their job, Windos may be a necessity for the job. It's a tiny minority that needs Windos at home (because they work from home).

This doesn't sound as if you ever seriously tried to look for an alternative. You're just repeating something you've read or heard and use that as a cheap excuse. You're hardly an artist if you need a specific composer anyway. Have you ever asked the vendors about a version for a different operating system?
