I'm new to Limewire- I just downloaded limewire and installed it on a Windows 98 Machine with a T1 connection to the network from school. I don't have a firewall installed on my computer and don't know if there is one here but I cannot seem to connect using limewire. My other application i'e web browsers and email work fine. Can anybody tell me what's wrong?

It doesn't matter what program you use or how much you spend, If you are downloading Copyrighted Material, It's still Illlegal, unless you are purchasing each file, as with iTunes. This kinda stuff isn't for the faint of heart, but it sure is Fun. ![]()

Hi Tnuhymmot, Welcome to the Gnutella Forums. I can't say for sure, but from what I have read, The RIAA and MPAA have really put the (HEAT) on ALL Colleges and Uni's. You could ask around to see if any of your Peers are using or attempting to use any P2P Programs. You could also find someone in the IS dept. to see if they will tell you if they Block P2P. Hope this Helps.
