Installation Java Problem
 

Whenever I try to install Limewire 4.8.1, it prompts me saying I don't have Java 2TM Runtime Enviroment Standard Edition v1.3.1. It starts to download it by itself but stops because I have version 1.5.0... Is there a way that lets Limewire know I have an older version of Java, so I can start Limewire?

Limewire may have a compatability issue with your java version try going here http://www.java.com/en/download/download_the_latest.jsp
and installing the latest version.

I'm having the same problem as kuraiebi. Except, when I click your link and try to install Java, nothing happens. Nothing pops up and theres nothing in my toolbar. The website still says "Checking Configuration."

when downloading, disable any firewalls and if you get a dialogue box install the active x control to let it run.
