Java problem with limewire

I recently unintstalled the OLD java version on my computer, and download the new java version.

Now whenever I try opening limewire, it says it needs java to open it. I have it on my computer.

Can someone help please?

Close all programs. Go to control panel & add/remove control panel. Remove "all" versions of Java. Reboot computer. Install the "Offline" version of Java which is about a 15 MB download; http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

You could also instead, try the Java 1.6 beta. I installed it & it works well; but LW won't use it if you have any other java versions on your computer. So make sure no other versions are installed. http://java.sun.com/javase/6/download.jsp JRE "Offline" version which is a 14 MB download. The programmers also use Java 1.6 ;) :)

BTW please don't double-post. I merged the other thread with this one. Forum Rules (click here)
