 limewire won't start So when I go to start limewire the splash screen comes up and it loads a few windows, the disappears with no message. I've tried the fixes listed in the sticky but none work. | As little of it as I understand, you have 2 versions of Java installed. jdk java 1.5 & jre java 1.6. As far as I know LW won't use Java 1.6b if there's another version of Java installed. Unless you need it for something else, I'd suggest you check thru your add/remove control panel & remove JDK java 1.5 & then look at the options of the Fixes for LW if still problems. |

| Well there's something about that java installation that isn't working properly with LW. Either reinstall it, or uninstall & go back to java 1.5, or try out the LW beta version 4.13 to see if there's any difference ... http://www.limewire.com/english/content/beta.shtml or from your personal downld page if you're a pro user. |
