How to reinstal photofiltre7 which I have deleted in error? Have tried to re-instal it without success.
Is there a step-by-step guide, please, that I can print? I find I am unable to follow Utube tutorials.

From what I can ascertain, it's as easy as downloading the installer and doing the setup process. PhotoFiltre Studio
Decompress the archive and then open pfs-Setup.

To my understanding, photofiltre7 is the free version whereas photofiltreX requires a purchased license.

Are you sure you actually deleted the photofiltre7 application or only the shortcut?
Check your applications for photofiltre and/or do a system-wide search for it.

My apologies for not replying earlier to your kind tip about Photofiltre7, and am pleased to be able to tell you that I have now managed to instal it as the free edition.
Indeed, it took me a while to get it back, and I only succeeded with the one-to-one help of a friend.
Soon after I received your answer, my laptop crashed, and it is only yesterday that I obtained a new pc, this time a desk model, not a laptop. It has a larger screen than the laptop.

Am still wrestling with navigation on the new pc, e.g. I cannot figure why files saved in Word will open but it's impossible to edit them, as I used to on the laptop.
