Problems sending MP3 files to MP3 Player Hi Guys, I 'm having problems sending mp3 files (audio books, music) to my mp3 player. I get a msgbox: cannot copy XXXXXX: the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. Moving files to another directory does not work either. Converting the mp3 file with Goldwave to another mp3 file is also unsuccessful. Please help, could not find a solution in the FAQ's. Merry X-Mas to all. Frank |
By mp3 player are you refering to a portable player or one on your computer? What brand & model or version is it? |
Hi Lord, Portable MP3. 256 MB "Optima" MP3 player, plugs via USB into the computer. I use it to listen to music, audio books etc. Never had any problems loading mp3 files before. Sometimes I had to convert the mp3 to a smaller file size to fit the player. The msgbox message has me stumped. Even after saving the file in a different mp3 format (which normally fixed the problem) I still get the "Cannot copy this file" (Name of file) The file is corrupted and unreadable. I copied it onto a CD and after a bit of stuffing about, got it to work. But I rahter use my portable MP3 player. Thanks for the help, mate. Regards Frank |
Problem Solved Hi guys It appears that the problem was the Limewire player, which I allowed as the default player. Selecting Windows Media Player fixed the problem. Merry X-Mas and a happy New 2006 Frank |
