Quest to share

DKing !
Not moronic nor need to apologize. We're in the same boat. I got back from my LW search something similar to what you described. Keep trying! In the mean time I'll dive into the LW help pages and research this issue. They say that if a file is in your computer it can be shared !! Let's find out exactly how !! If anybody in the forum can help or has an interest in this strig....jump in ! JF

Hello I'm very interested in sharing karaoke cdg discs with you, I have 310 discs in my collection about 15 tracks per disc, mostly country . Anyone want to share?

DReyRose July 15th, 2008 12:58 PM

The problem has nothing to do with 'wanting' to share. The problem seems to be HOW to share. Without any direction this thread dies here.

However, I have found a way to make this work a little.

1. I had to load purchase ($80) Parallels 3.0(would NOT work with 2.0)
2. Join mIRC ($20)
3. Purchased the KaraokeInfo.com 'Guide' ($60)
4. Purchase a new USB 2.0 external HD 750gb ($140)
5. Load songs onto the hard drive from the share servers on mIRC.
6. Purchase KJams Lite ($40) Bring songs over on external HD
7. Create the KJams 'Music Library' files on the external HD
8. UnZip the karaoke files into this same folder.
9. Drag and dropped the unzipped files from the 'Music Library' file.
10. Open up KJams and start jamming.

Additionally I would recommend re-titling most of the songs so that it fits your need but really, with thousands of files, um.....could be a bit time consuming.

Hope this helps someone, sure helped me. Best I could come up with since there really is no one on this site (or any other, to be fair) that will explain, in short detail like this, whether in private message, email or forum reply, how to do this. IF anyone has an easier plan and more cost effective plan, I'd be open for it. For now, this is all I've seen and the best I could come up with.

Then I was all set, so now

I have a pretty good collection myself, some that arent in my library but in my cd tower, and I would like to find people who would be interested in swapping, and invite you to contact me, and we can agree to a sharing appointment...

What I have found with Karaoke files is that not a whole lot of people have them, usually only 1 or two sources, if you find what you're looking for at all.
And I know that the people who do have and download Karaoke files, most likely have a lot more on disc, if they are avid singers at all.

Everytime I find a hard to find song that I really want, the host kills the upload, and eventually, if I am persistant, stops sharing the file.

Id be interested in making an agreement to allow you to upload mine without discretion at a specific time, that I will allow maximum uploads at maximum speeds., if in return you would allow the same, and during the agreed upon time, refrain from trying to do any downloading during the others uploading time.
If there are any specific artists or song, or genre's of Karaoke you are interested in, Id be happy to share my disc library.
We both would likely end up gaining alot of karaoke songs this way....
I dont even need for them to be cdg, I like to learn my songs without the crutch of the words on a screen. I just want the music.
Anyone interested in working out a deal with me let me know.

hi guys was just wondering why we have probs with mods telling us that we are doing illegal stuff on here by asking if ppl have certain songs etc.

As i see it it doesnt state that in the rules as for rule number 2 ive seen mods using profanities directed at users hence page 3 april 10th im just wondering this is a forum for GNUTELLA and p2p so if thats for sharing why cant we get contacts for sharing as they can direct us to there p2p program and we can find their user name to share within that program.

pls forgive me if i seem "out of place" but i have read the rules but yet still cant figure out what this forum is really for the title is "Want to share Karaoke files?" but seems like we cant.

as i said we seem to see alot about us getting warnings about illegal doings but ive read all the pages and seems like a lot of warnings are there but with no explanation as to what we are doing wrong. as in copyright i have purchased all of the cd+g files and would like to swap some that might not be available through my supplier hence the reason im here.

and as i see it im not charging ppl for them just swapping i dont understand the reason for the illegal status some of the mods have branded some of the users with

thank you guys

one more thing can we post on here what p2p programs we use and user names sothat we can get the files we require?

thanx.......brumez :)

brumez December 30th, 2009 03:10 AM

also guys was wondering if i can post a program name here with instruction where ppl can get cdg files or if i can place my addy here so ppl can contact me so i can give them the info?

Hello everyone... I'm currently deployed with the US Army to Afghanistan and I'm currently trying to get a karaoke night started for the soldiers here on the camp, but am in serious lack of music an software. Anyone have any suggestions on software and a method to download songs? Any help you'd be willing to give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Nurples

kakrunch June 14th, 2011 09:23 AM

i have like 11000 quality files. would love too! I need newer stuff!!

Nurples June 14th, 2011 09:32 AM

I actually found this IRC program with tons of KJs. The software is a bit of a pain to get setup, but after the setup, your good to go! http://karaokeworld.co.uk/

Looks like the domain name may have lapsed. I"ll see if I can't find another link to the program.

nightrider_01 July 5th, 2011 08:21 PM

people do not realize that it does matter if file is in mp3, bin, or ? u can take any karaoke file and convert to any format because they all were originally bin format it just what format you ultimately convert to save in the end process is what the final out come is

KaraokeEyedJoe October 12th, 2011 07:23 PM

I am a KARAOKE fanatic. I have almost 150000 files but they are lock in my external hard drive,. So until I get them opened I need to rebuild or find someone who has the gift to help me open my hard drive.

oh I am Stephen from Canada:idea:

What do you mean they are locked?

Do you mean you don't know how to add them to shares?

Or do you mean they are locked by the OS system or a commercial locking program? If they are locked by the OS system then they might not reside in your personal account and instead another user's computer account or the files reside within a system folder. I believe in most OS's you can select the file(s) and get information and there will be information as to whether they are locked and if yes, an option to unlock the files. The files would first need to reside or be moved to your computer's personal account area.

I am thinking where he says "rebuild", it is possibly is a frozen external hard drive.

Good point! I probably didn't understand the question very well.

TrvlNrsBuddha (Stephen) didn't specify which OS he is using or elaborate more upon the problem which would be helpful.

The question is why they are locked. Is the hard disk drive or directory faulty for example. Is a file recovery or directory repairer utility app needed. Or is it a system permissions based issue.
