It won't open! Help!

when i click on the icon, the program (BearShare) won't open anymore

it says: "This program has been damaged, possibly by a bad sector of the hard drive or a virus."

i'm using a Windows XP

What version of BearShare are you running ?

What else may have occured such as virus or power cut problems ?
Go easy for now because you may be at risk of losing your temporary/incomplete files as well as your completed downloads.

The version I'm using is BearShare 5.2.5

And I just tried installing bearshare BSTEST05010b25.exe and use the BearStart utility

but it still says the same "This program has been damaged, possibly by a bad sector of the hard drive or a virus."

should definitely run program called " AVG Free" google it and you can down load it free,then run it. these sharing programs can also share the other guys viruses...and some are on purpose...
