*Blocking gnutella ...

Hi ppl,

My ISP has blocked port 6346 for outgoing connection, now my bearshare can't connect to gnutellahosts.com or to the other 2 clip2 servers, furthermore the most of the *ntella clients/servers listen on port 6346 so i'm kinda cuted off from the *ntella-network. Can somebody help me with some advices?

If Bearshare can be configured to work through a proxy you can use SocksCap32 and HttpTunnel to tunnel the port 6346 through port 80. I have tried it with Napster and it works, no luck with Limewire due to a missing option where to specify any proxy at all.
Just tell me if you donŽt find those programs and IŽll send them to you, but a yahoo search will do the job, it did for me.

Thank you, now it works almost ok http://forums.gnutelliums.com/smile.gif except for the buggy http-tunnel http://forums.gnutelliums.com/smile.gif

Btw. with the combination of the both programs you actually don't need to have proxy settings in the program you are going to tunnel(because of sockscap), however 10x again http://forums.gnutelliums.com/smile.gif
