BEARSHARE PRO is a RIPOFF!
 

![/B] DO NOT BUY SHAREBEAR PRO! Folks, SAVE your money on this one! I paid my subscription and so far, NO logon/use available with my SHAREBEAR PRO program.

It appears that the SHAREBEAR PRO Registration/LOGON process is somewhat elaborate and after using *ALL* of the numbers and site numbers provided ~ SHARE BEAR PRO rejects all of them and FAILS to run.

PRO ran only once when I first registered, but in truth, I saw NO advantage at all ~ only the AD BANNERS were dropped. Could be there are other benifits of PRO, but as I said, it ran only once.

KaZaA appers to be a far superior product.

The FAQ is useless. So far I have waited TWO DAYS for a BEARSHARE SUPPORT reply, but so far ~ NO HELP. Now I know what they mean by "6 MONTHS SUPPORT".... it may take that long to get help!

Sure it was ONLY $9.95, but multiply that number by 100 other possible ripped-off users and that is a chunck of money!

*** BY THE WAY, SHAREBEAR MAKES IT VERY CLEAR THAT THERE ARE NO RUFUNDS FOR ANY REASON *** Now I wonder if FRAUD counts? I promise you this, if BEARSHARE fails to deliver all they promised for my money, I WILL demand credit from my credit card company.

i have been to bear shared and it sucks
even the free version i have'nt bought
the pro got limewire which i hear is the best of and i am very satisfied .....got to get it lots of files some butt heads don't share but the major part of lime wire do

Bearshare and Limewire are using the same net - ALL clients on this side here USE THE SAME NET...

Perhaps you have more luck with Limewire but this doesn´t mean that Limewire user share more... "freeloaders" are a general problem!

If we step back a little we often realise we have a LITTLE more than we think ..... I paid my "small amount of money " to Limewire..... I love the inteface, I have not discovered any spyware there yet and have found a few gems out there in the ether !!! ..... look at the POSITVES and try to limit the negatives.......

I have posted a problem ...... I would like a few repiles to that one

Limewire and Bearshare PRO are SPYWARE and AD FREE versions... nothing more...

Now your problem... do you mean the T3 thread? You are using Limewire right? Because this is the bearshare forum... I can move it if you want!

personally I consider it stupid to pay for any client because vinnienet wants to be rich.. Just use Gnucleus or XoloX.

You do not buy BearShare to get special features all that happens is you get the ADS taken off so get over it.

:) I have been downloading and sharing in Bear Share Pro and tried Limewire last night for the first time. My observation is that on Bear Share downloads are faster and there are alot more to choose from for instance George Strait had over a thousand different songs listed and on Limewire only in the 200's? And the time it took to download was much much faster on Bear Share! So use the one that suits you best!:)

FYI: Vinnie, the maker of Bearshare, has decided to block uploads from Bearshare to Shareaza. Because of this, Shareaza users are now blocking uploads to Bearshare. This effects Bearshare users a lot more than it does Shareaza users since Shareaza users report hardly ever downloading from Bearshare while a large percentage of their uploads are to Bearshare. Vinnie has cut off his Bearshare users from a large pool of files.

If you want to make sure you are finding the most files and have better downloads you should switch to Shareaza. Shareaza has G2 (Gnutella2) which has Global Search, among other advanced features. Bearshare, Limewire, and the rest of the Gnutella 1 clients do not have these advanced features. They only search a small fraction of the overall Gnutella network.

You can also use www.sharelive.com to find verified files with Shareaza. Sharelive is a database of magnet links for verified files on G2. Ever download a file only to find out it's something else? Sharelive fixes that.

Shareaza is also free and it doesn't contain any adware or spyware. www.shareaza.com

Shareaza is way better, and comes without the price tag.
 

Bearshare, plain and simple just doesn't work in our current time. It claims to be number one, when it has features which have already been implemented for over a year in some cases. Bearshare can somewhat be compared to Morpheus, a company that deciets its users by claiming to be the best.

Shareaza has all of the latest features, and will implement the newest technologies to make Gnutella a better place. When I say Gnutella, I mean G2 because G1 is pretty much done for. G2 is G1 reincarnated, but with a bigger ambition and goal set out. G2 will revolutionize the P2P technology. All who don't follow will cease to exist in the Gnutella environment.

the free version of kazza is way better and kazza has more selections of everything. And half the time none of the things want downloads. And when you do ask for an artist you get like 99 of the same songs! I want my money back! We should report these people for fraud! I bet this isn't even legal-like they said it was!:mad: :mad:

The software bearshare itself is legal, but if you are donwloading copyrighted files its illegal - nobody said you are allowed to download copyrighted files.
