search for Zamfir

'Kill Bill Volume 1'

Seems that it may be that there is more than a bit of confusion re: the title and/or artist, hmmm ?

Also, check out the numerous Spanish music websites...
I live in a rather bizarre part of that Spain place and am exposed to one hell of a lot of amazing stuff that the brit-gits and yanquis never hear !!!

¡ Ja Ja Ja !

&, of course you are not suggesting that you would do anything illegal such as download the above mentioned track... It's only to try to get more info so that you can buy the stuff, right ? ;)

dear sassycatgirlvouz,

i'm pretty sure you mean Natania Devrath, an israeli opera singer who recorded a double album called "songs of the auvergne" in the mid 1950's - all 19th century native shephard folk songs from the auvergne region, all sung in a french dialect called langue d'oc. Here is a link where you can listen to some of the songs and buy the album, which is extremely beautiful and unlike anything i've ever heard, and i've had it now for going on 30 years.

sorry, don't remember enough french to tell you the translation for lonely shephard. let me know if this was any help!

dear jo-an,

thank you so very much! you are a sweet heart; am very glad to have helped swell the small group of her followers. by the way, cantaloube didn't compose these songs, he merely did the field work to collect them from the country folk of langue d'oc, and then gave them classical arrangements.

your partner in good taste,

ron in texas
