Gnotella and Gnucleus

Bearshare sucks compared to Gnotella and Gnucleus. I used Bearshare for about a year then switched to Gnotella and liked that. Then switched to Gnucleus, because it is by far the best. I also use LimeWire every once and a while. I can safely say all of those clients blow bearshare out of the water.

and in linux i use Mutella THE best client on any computer.

Gnutella in Unix-Like Systems (Linux, Solaris, BSD, etc..)

I suggest LimeWire or Phex. But, if you want to have the most efficient, fastest connecting, and want serious advanced options i suggest Mutella. It is command-line only, but is very powerful. Only takes a few minutes to learn. Really efficient with your bandwith. Its pretty cool. When i don't feel like messing with the command-line i use LimeWire 1.8c (NO ADS or Spyware in Linux!!!)

Hope that helps...

Just wanted to butt in here.... you used BearShare for a year???
That's a neat trick since it hasn't been out for a year yet.

I've always used Gnotella, but there was a time I used Bearshare as well. I've downloaded every version of both programs since I moved to Gnutella clients. Gnotella has always been better. Bearshare takes an eternity to connect to 4-6 hosts, and its search mode is too simple and general. There was a time Bearshare was more stable, but the latest versions of Gnotella have improved a lot, and its stability problem has been fixed.
