Cannot Run Or Install

I have had bearshare for a long time.

then for some strage reason, when i attempt to run my bearshare i get the error message:

.\GLibraryDb.cpp (#2050) bWritable

Anybody know what could be the problem...

I have then attempted to re-installl a newer version of bearshare only to recieve another message saying:

You do not have access to make required system modifications, please install from an admistrators account.

*which is concerning as i am the computer admistrator and there are only 2 other users.

*I can install any other program on my computer??

Somebody please help it is annoying me so much.
