Is there any way to speed up the hashing on bearshare start up?
My system sometimes does down, and when bearshare restarts on boot it takes about 6 days to finish the rescan (yes I have alo of storage) leaving alot of unhashed files. Anyone?? thanks Joe |

Remove most of the files from your library, starting with the ones other people are already sharing.

Anything else??. I dont feel like going through 1.5TB or about 2 million files.

That many would just bog your system down. Try for just a few thousand.
For starters, knock them all out and just add the rare files you think nobody else has and have no copyright issues. Stop at about 10,000. No need to hurry. ;] |
