Limewire bug

I hope someone can help with this. I downloaded limewire a few months ago - didn't use it that much so I uninstalled it from my computer. Well, the next day after uninstallation I started receiving this pop up box about a bug on this software. So, although it is uninstalled, I keep getting this pop up box whenever I turn on my computer EVERYDAY:mad: . Not only that, when I click ok to get rid of it, it periodically pops up repeatedly throughout the day. So annoying and it makes no sense because limewire is uninstalled. Anyone have any idea what I can do about this, it's driving me crazy. Oh, by the way it did say because of the bug I need to download it again, but I don't want it at all so why do I need to do that. Anyone, help, please! Here is the copy of the pop up report I keep getting:

One or more necessary files appear to be invalid. This is generally caused by a corrupted installation. Please try downloading and installing LimeWire again. If the problem persists, please copy and paste the message below and send it to: bugs@limewire.com. Thank You, (so I did this several times and I keep getting a mailer daemon bounce back failure - saying that address bugs@limewire.com does not exist) and this is the report:

To Peerless and garbagefan2: I came here to ask for help not ignorance. So if you don't have anything intelligent or helpful to say don't say anything at all - you're wasting my time. By the way obviously someone out there was knowledgeable enough to assist me regardless if this is a bearshare forum or not and I've seen plenty of forum questions in regards to limewire so use your time for something worthwhile not for stupid comments. Usually people who can't help you are the ones that make ignorant comments so that was actually funny! I appreciate the person who was kind enough to post some information that could help me. And don't bother replying to this comment I will be officially removing myself from this forum - I'd rather join a forum and group of people who are kind, not rude! Thank you so much to "Only A Hobo" for your kindness. thumbs down to less than helpful people and a big smiley face to you. I was frustrated with my problem and you took the time to assist me, I appreciate that!! Will be going elsewhere if I need assistance again!

Nobody's going to help you if you post in the wrong section. This is the Gnutella forums NOT the LimeWire forums. It caters for many gnutella programs not only LW. How the heck did you end up here in BearShare section!? The LW program help menu And the LW web site both link to the LW forum sections here Limewire Forum sections. Yes go elsewhere & good luck. Peerless is a moderator of these forums & I'm an administrator. Most forums have rules & all are expected to read them instead of dilly dally posting wherever one feels like it.

Awww, man! A girl wanders in here for once and you chase her off? http://www3.telus.net/public/walkhoub/really.gif
Next time leave her alone and I'll show you how I spank'em and leave'em purring, alright? http://www3.telus.net/public/walkhoub/tongue3.gif

Peerless May 24th, 2006 05:38 PM

well, this is simple....it is IMPOSSIBLE to find your way into this subforum by mistake...period...LW links you directly to the LW forums, hence a person (trollish in nature) would have to work at posting here...right?

so of course the little girls response to garbagefan2 and I is a joke...just simple evidence of the immature trollish nature...trolls always take offense when ppl ID them as being what they are...game playing children:D

Peerless May 25th, 2006 04:06 PM

yur right...we should have taken the opportunity to bring this user into the world of BearShare in all its glory...

AaronWalkhouse May 25th, 2006 11:32 PM

It would have instantly solved her arcane LimeWire bug, and with a faster, better protected program too… :p

AaronWalkhouse May 25th, 2006 11:35 PM

…and then, while she's still purring… http://www3.telus.net/public/walkhoub/drool.gif
